Undoubtedly, the first thing that captures our view of the TV is its size. More precisely, the diagonal. Of course the more the TV, the better. But it is not always the case. The distance from the TV to the place where you are while watching is important. Not many people know that the larger the diagonal, the greater the distance to the sofa. The optimal distance is 3-4 times greater than the diagonal of the TV. This will provide the best comfort.
The next parameter that you should pay attention to is the resolution. This value is expressed in pixels. Pixel is the minimum graphic unit of the TV display. It contains information about the display of red, green and blue colors. A lot of pixels make up the image. Therefore, the higher the resolution (more pixels), the better the transmitted picture. It is important to know that for viewing ordinary television broadcasts, 800x600 resolution will suffice (since in Russia TV shows are broadcasted according to this standard). However, for watching DVD movies, the resolution should be as good as possible. The most qualitative is the digital format of television, for him the best resolution is 1920x1080 pixels.
The response time of the TV is the switching speed between black and white. The shorter the response time, the better the color rendering, and one image will not overlap. It is better if the response time does not exceed 8 milliseconds (ms).
The main color characteristic of the LCD TV is brightness and contrast. Contrast is the ratio of the brightness of the lightest and darkest parts of the image, it helps to convey the depth of color. The contrast ratio can be 600: 1, 800: 1, 1000: 1. The higher the ratio, the better. Brightness is crucial when watching TV in different lighting conditions, i.e. in the light and dark time of the day. If the brightness is insufficient, your eyes will be very tired, and you will not get any pleasure from viewing. A brightness of 450 cd / m2 is considered normal.
