How to dye your hair at home

A successful hair color can change you beyond recognition - refresh the skin tone, hide the gray hair, add shine to the eyes. Unfortunately, the coloring of hair in the salon can cost a pretty penny (in some cases, a very large penny). Therefore, in order to save, especially during the crisis, we offer you a step-by-step course of coloring the hair at home.

Fortunately for us, progress has made a big leap in the last 50 years since the moment Clairol debuted with the first set for self-coloring hair. Nowadays, hair dye is more transparent. It no longer gives a dense, monotonous color and has a less keen smell. If you want to learn how to dye your hair at home, start by getting acquainted with five simple rules:

- Be conservative: Do not choose a color that is two or three times lighter or darker than your natural color.
- Ask your girlfriend for help: She can check that you do not miss the curls on the back of the head.
- Use daylight during painting: A glowing light in your bathroom will not be useful when checking the intensity of the color.
- Always use the conditioner: Most sets for coloring the hair include a special conditioner. This will help keep the color and shine of the hair much longer.
- After the first time, color only the roots of the hair: If you will paint the entire head every six weeks, the hair will become brittle, and the color will be uneven. When the hair grows, apply the paint only to the roots of the hair, spread the paint along the entire length of the hair only a few minutes before flushing.

What you need to dye your hair at home.
Before you start coloring your hair at home, it's advisable to purchase some tools that are not included in the standard hair dye kits.
Brush: If your hair is not very short it is easier to use a brush than a nozzle on a bottle.
Bowl: To mix the paint.
Hairpins Krabiki: In order to hold the bulk of the hair while you process the strand behind the strand.
Comb with a long thin handle: Use a thin handle to divide the hair into equal parts, and a comb to evenly distribute the paint.
Two dark towels: One to cover your shoulders to protect clothing from paint. The second, in order to wipe the occasional spray of paint.
Tonic for a person based on alcohol: It helps remove stains from the face and sex.
Timer: To surely dye your hair in the color that you expect.

Before you start, test the color on a small strand of hair.

Plunge into a new business with your head is sometimes a great idea, but dyeing your hair at home is not one of these cases. You must (MUST!) Initially test the paint to (1) make sure that you like the color and (2) determine how long it takes to keep the paint on your hair before rinsing it off. How is testing done: Color the lower layer of hair 5 mm in size by 1 cm just above the ear (so that you can see the color relative to your skin). Remove the paint with a damp towel after half the time (ie 15 minutes if the package says 30 minutes.) After the hair has dried, check the color by placing a strand on a white towel in order to accurately determine the shade. If the shade suits you, then 15 minutes is the time that you need for painting. If you are not completely satisfied, apply the paint over the strand and wait until the end of the time. Check the shade again before exposing the entire head to stain.
