Hypertensive disease and its treatment at different stages

One of the serious diseases of the heart and blood vessels is hypertensive disease. In the absence of proper treatment, hypertension very often occurs with various complications, including acute cerebral infarction (stroke), acute myocardial infarction, cerebral atherosclerosis, and atherosclerosis of the heart vessels.

Hypertensive illness and its treatment at different stages is a topic that has been worrying doctors for many years. There are many modern medicines prescribed by cardiologists at high blood pressure - vasodilators, hypotensive, diuretics. In numerous cardiological clinics, heart and vascular diseases are studied, but the number of hypertensive patients increases every year.

Do not confuse with hypertension

Increased blood pressure is determined in 20-30% of people. Among them, patients with true hypertension and patients with symptomatic arterial hypertension who can develop due to kidney disease, endocrine diseases, functional disorders of the central nervous system, menopausal syndrome in women, etc. are identified. The causes of true hypertension can be heredity, nervous overexertion, human exposure to a wide variety of adverse factors, obesity, atherosclerosis of the vessels of the brain, heart and aorta.

Stages of hypertension

Hypertension begins, usually after 30-40 years and gradually progresses. The development of the disease always differs in pace. There is a slowly progressing course of the disease - the so-called benign, and rapidly progressing - malignant course.

The slow development of the disease goes through three stages:

Stage I (initial, mild) is characterized by slight elevations of blood pressure - at a level of 160-180 / 95-105 mm Hg. Art. In general, arterial pressure is unstable, when the patient rests, it gradually normalizes, but the disease, as a rule, already exists and under adverse conditions, the increased pressure returns again. In some patients at this stage, hypertension is not felt at all. Others are worried about headaches (mainly in the occipital region), dizziness, noise in the head, insomnia, a decrease in mental and physical performance. These symptoms tend to appear late in the evening or towards the night. At this stage, the disease and its treatment do not cause problems. A good therapeutic effect is obtained from medicinal plants.

II stage (moderate severity) is characterized by higher and stable blood pressure figures. It fluctuates at the level of 180-200 / 105-115 mm Hg. Art. There are complaints of headache, dizziness, pain in the heart. This stage is characterized by hypertensive crises. There are changes in the electrocardiogram, the eye day, and the kidneys. Without drug treatment, the pressure is not normalized. Essential aid is provided by medicinal plants.

III stage (severe) is characterized by a persistent increase in arterial pressure associated with the progression of atherosclerosis in both cerebral vessels and in the vessels of the heart and in the aorta. In rest, the blood pressure is 200-230 / 115-130 mm Hg. Art. The clinical picture is determined by the defeat of the heart (there are attacks of angina and arrhythmia, acute myocardial infarction may develop), pathology in the vessels of the brain (acute cerebrovascular accident may occur-stroke), changes in the fundus, kidney diseases. Without special medication, spontaneously, the pressure is not normalized.

Treatment should be comprehensive!

As you know, timely and correctly selected complex treatment at different stages can stop the progression of hypertensive disease.

At the first stage of the disease and treatment is not particularly difficult and includes the following measures: the regime of work and rest, weight loss, exercise therapy, sanatorium treatment, active use of medicinal plants: cardiological, hypotensive, diuretic and vasodilating.

At the II and III stages, along with the above measures, active use of medications is necessary. Periodical inpatient examination and treatment is required. Especially patients with severe disease. Patients with hypertension II and III stage should be under constant supervision of the treating cardiologist.

How to help yourself

1. Proper nutrition

For the prevention of hypertension should adhere to a diet that limits cholesterol, animal fats, excess carbohydrates, long-term products containing preservatives. It is necessary to sharply limit the consumption of table salt. If possible, eat foods slightly salty.

The most important nutrient that can move the emergence of hypertensive disease and concomitant atherosclerosis of the vessels of the brain and heart, is cellulose. Its value is that fiber absorbs cholesterol and other harmful substances. Since the fiber is not digested in the stomach and leaves the body, then along with it, it "takes" most of the substances unnecessary to the body. The best sources of fiber are fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as porridges.

2. Dosed loads

It must be remembered that hypertension is a disease in which the volume of movements and loads must be dosed, taking into account the stage of the disease, age, concomitant diseases. And most importantly - do not overdo it! Do not give yourself excessive loads. One will have the power and capabilities of charging, and another person needs daily walks in the fresh air and active physical exercises. At the end of physical activity a person should feel an easy, pleasant fatigue. It is necessary to control your pulse and blood pressure. Do not forget that the movement is the prevention of the development of hypertension!
