In 2006, Andrei retired from the Lenkom Theater, where he worked for 12 years, but did not leave theatrical activities and today he can be seen in the entertaining performance of Andrey Zhitinkin "The Lady and Her Men". In the new film by Sergei Ginzburg "Bitch", shooting which began just a few days ago, Andrei plays the main role - a promising boxer with a difficult fate and no less complex character.
The film "Bitch" in many ways about boxing. Did you immediately agree to participate in the project?
Of course, I really like boxing as a spectator, and I like everything connected with this sport. And then it's very interesting to build human relations and reveal the characters of the characters. For example, in the image that I was offered to play, there is growth: a person makes efforts to change something in his destiny, which is always interesting.
Professionally, I was not involved in boxing. So, I got a pair of gloves. In fact, it is a very beautiful and intelligent sport.
Clever, why?
Because a good boxer is a talented person with a vivid imagination. Physical strength, of course, is needed, but one must also think.
Tell us about your hero in more detail?
He is a fighter who does not depart from his life principles, and that's why at the beginning of the film he was in such a deplorable situation when he had to earn extra money in clubs. He is a little disappointed in life, but then in his destiny there is a young girl who offers to take everything in her hands. And gradually, his inner growth takes place, he seeks to once again become himself and return to normal life.
How did you prepare for the shooting, consulted with professionals?
Certainly. I have a consultant - coach Andrei Shkalikov, who helps me a lot. This is a very good boxer, champion of Europe and Russia. We train with him, and he prepares me to make me look like a real boxer.
After such training could enter the ring in real life?
Sport, like any other business, when you are professionally engaged in it, you must give your whole life. For example, if a person takes off in the crowd and will call himself an actor .... Also I can not call myself a boxer. This should be done constantly, and this is a very difficult profession.
I already do not remember, it was in a distant childhood, somewhere in the fourth class. I just decided for myself that I would become an actor. And the second time I entered Shchepkinskoe College.
In which play are you currently playing?
I play in the entertaining play "The Lady and Her Men", which was staged by Andrei Zhitinkin. My partners are Lena Safonova, Sasha Nosik and Andrei Ilyin.
And where this performance can be seen?
This is an entreprise, and we play it on various venues, recently in the Mayakovsky Theater.
Andrew, why did you all leave the Lenkom?
It happened. Probably, it was just time, and I did not get anything there, and the theater understood that it can not keep me in any way. But I still love and respect Lenk.
In which projects are you still shooting?
At this time, this film takes all the time: training, training, very tight schedule shooting, so far from all the other have to give up. Now I still have the project "One Night of Love" on STS.
Who do you play in "One night of love"?
I play the main villain there - Kaulbach, who claims the throne. He is called a villain, but I do not think that my hero is a villain. At that time, all of each other overthrew, poisoned, betrayed. And this man claims the throne, he wants good for Russia.
It is interesting to star in a historical picture?
It's always interesting to be shot in a historical film, but it's more difficult, because we do not remember the etiquette of that time: for example, how people of noble origin ate, drank, sat. And I also would like my role to be spelled out more extensively, but the format of the series, unfortunately, does not allow for a deeper study of the nuances.
Actually I really want to relax. Just think, pause and then - again, it disappears somewhere and again the work. In general, a person is never happy: when you are not shooting, it's bad, when you are shooting and you can not rest - too. But, of course, when there are suggestions, it's a sin to complain.
And what else do you do, do you have a hobby?
As such, I do not have a hobby, but now I'm interested in boxing. In general, you have to think of something, maybe you can start collecting matchboxes ...
In your opinion, where more truly can we exist, in the cinema or in the theater?
The movie itself allows for a more truthful existence, but in the cinema and more deception, because there are duplicates. And in the theater you are standing in front of a spectator who looks at you from a distance of several meters, and he will believe you or not, you can not fix anything. On the other hand, the theater is a convention, there we exist in artificial scenery, and in the cinema one can show everything as in life. This is a very interesting side.
Of our films made recently, which ones can you single out?
Perhaps, after all, Mikhalkov's strongest film is "12". I can not say that this is my favorite film, especially in the work of Nikita Sergeyevich, but from the professional point of view it is made simply amazing, which is missing many of our films.
And if you take a larger scale, what do you think, at what level do we have cinema in the country today?
Now, thank God, the cinema is reborn, and I believe that everything will return to the level of Soviet cinema when the cinema was very strong. There are a lot of talented people in our country.
