During a recent conversation with journalists of one of the Western publications, the beautiful model spoke frankly about the circumstances in which she had to live as a child. The family of the future star lived very modestly, and when a 14-year-old girl died his father, it became very difficult. I had to work in the garden, growing tomatoes and potatoes to somehow feed themselves.
Irina Shaikhlislamova was born and grew up in a small town of Emanzhelinsk, near Chelyabinsk. In addition to working in the garden, the girl had no other way to earn money:
I had to work, collect potatoes and tomatoes, because this was the only type of earnings in our small town.
A family consisting of mother, grandmother and sister could not afford any expensive purchases. To earn a nice pair of shoes, Irina somehow managed to earn some money in the repair of the hospital: the girl was painting the premises. For the whole month of work she received about 20 dollars:
In summer, I was paid $ 20 for 30 days of work - I painted a local hospital.
The peers laughed at Irina: she was very slim and modestly dressed. Even in the hairdresser's girl was not taken - she was sheared by her older sister.
Of course, Irina did not even expect that in 10 years she would live in New York, and earn money, for which you can buy the whole town where she was born. But in one the girl was sure - she would not stay in Emanzhelinsk.
The first step to a new life was entering the Chelyabinsk Economic College, where the future model studied marketing. Irina was noticed in the local image club and offered to work in one of the modeling agencies. The victory in the Chelyabinsk beauty contest opened a new world to a girl unknown to the girl. A year later, in 2005 Irina started working as a model in Europe.
However, in Paris, where Sheik got with other models, she had to overcome difficulties. Irina recalls that there were moments when there was nothing to eat. But the difficulties only stimulated the model, forced it to strive for the goal:
I remember once in Paris, when I started, I did not have money even for food. This was a turning point for me, I did not want to give up. I knew that I could not go home without achieving anything, and this made me work harder.
An example for Irina Sheik was her own grandmother
Irina has repeatedly admitted that her mother and grandmother brought up her own example. The model's grandmother died a year ago, but it is her Irina who calls her "absolute heroine."
It is known that Galiya Shaikhlislamova was a scout during the Great Patriotic War and had many awards. Irina Sheik has a cherished dream - to play a movie as a spy in memory of her beloved grandmother.
