Lev Durov died

People's Artist of the USSR Lev Durov died in Moscow in the 84th year after a long illness. The day before the death, the doctors conducted an urgent operation for the actor, but they could not save him.

On the death of Lev Durov, RIA Novosti was informed by his daughter Ekaterina Durova. According to her, Durov died in the hospital on the night of August 20, at 00:50 Moscow time.

According to Lifenews, a day before his death, the national artist suffered an urgent operation and was put into a state of drug coma, but doctors could not save him.

Information about the day of farewell to Durov will be later, TASS told the theater's head on Malaya Bronnaya Sergei Golomazov.

The last two weeks of his life the actor spent in the hospital. On August 7, he was hospitalized unconscious in one of the Moscow clinics after a stroke. Some time later, Durov was diagnosed with pneumonia, after which his condition worsened.

Lev Durov was born on December 23, 1931. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School and since 1967 worked at the Moscow Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. Durov played more than 160 roles in the cinema. The greatest fame was brought to him by the films D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers, Armed and Very Dangerous, Walking by Flours, Diamonds for the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, Man from the Boulevard des Capucines, 17 Moments of Spring.

The creative activity of Lev Durov was not limited to cinema and theater: he worked on radio, taught (in particular, produced an acting course at the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio), performed with creative evenings in different cities of Russia. The actor also wrote three books. The first one entitled "Sinful Notes" was published in 1999, and in 2008 two more books were published - "Tales from Zakulis" and "Tales for Encore".
