Natural cycles and human biorhythms

My girlfriend rushes to the gym every morning to fix her figure, and at the same time her health. Her figure really got better, but her health is opposite. Instead of cheerfulness and optimism, fatigue and irritability arose. What's the matter? Specialists in biorhythmology believe that the reason is the discrepancy of the way of life to individual biorhythms. After all, natural cycles and human biorhythms have their own life schedule. And with this you have to reckon, if, of course, you want to be healthy.

Everyone knows about biorhythms, however, only a few can really explain what it is like. The mechanism of biorhythms is really very complicated, and only specialists can understand it. To us, far from medicine to people, it is enough to understand that biorhythms control all physiological processes occurring in the body. The heart, lungs function rhythmically, the muscles contract and relax, the excitation and inhibition in the central nervous system change. In a word, the commander-in-chief rhythm rides absolutely to all.

Some biorhythms appear in humans from birth, others depend on external causes, such as changing the season, fluctuating temperature and humidity, solar activity and even tides and ebbs of the ocean. Imagine what kind of attack from all sides our body is exposed! And in order to survive, he tries to adapt to external conditions, coordinating his internal schedule with them.

If, for some reason, there is a "breakdown" of biorhythms, it always turns into an organism for troubles. Initially, there are some functional disorders (begins to ache a particular body), and with a long failure - more serious problems. Violated the activity of the heart, blood vessels, nervous system, fatigue, weakness and irritability appear, ARI and ARVI, influenza and bronchitis often appear, chronic diseases become worse. That's why doctors recommend that you rebuild your lifestyle (work, sleep, rest, etc.) so that it does not go against your internal schedule. You say that this is not easy? Maybe. But it's better to think it over carefully and adjust to your own biorhythms, than to run afterwards for a long time.

But enough theory, let's get to the point. All of you, of course, have heard that there are "larks" and "owls". The first wake up early and go to bed early, they have a rush of energy in the morning, especially in the mornings. The "owls" have the opposite: in the morning they feel lethargic and defeated, but in the evening they develop an ebullient activity. Than a lot of annoying their half, if it refers to the "lark". But there are also "pigeons" - equally active at different times of the day, such batteries that do not require recharging. True, such lucky ones are much smaller. Experts advise to determine their chronotype with the help of special tests, because there are various methods, for example, the Ostberg test. And depending on this plan your life. For example, if you are a "lark", you better not study in the evenings and especially not work at night. "Owl", on the contrary, is preferable to enter the evening department of the institute and get a job that does not need to get up at sunrise. The "lark" is most often the time of greatest activity from 8 to 13 hours, and in "owls" - from 16 to late evening. It is these gaps that are considered to be the "peak" hours, when the working capacity literally goes off scale. But in the "lazy" hours - from 13 to 16 o'clock it's better to do something unburdening, or even better - to sleep. In America, some employers even legalized an afternoon nap - employees are allowed to take a half-hour nap. Wise Americans realized that, after a person sleeps a bit, his work capacity increases dramatically and the firm is only at hand. Nothing to say, useful practice. Maybe someday we will get accustomed.

So far we have only talked about daily cycles and biorhythms. But there are also monthly, associated with the lunar phases, both seasonal and annual. It is not easy to understand them, but you can. It turns out that the Moon also has the most direct effect on us living on Earth. The tides in the rivers and seas and many other phenomena are the "work of the hands" of the Moon. There is an opinion that the phases of the Moon are especially worth watching for those who have problems with pressure. It is believed that hypertensive patients need to watch out for the full moon, when the blood flows to the head as much as possible, and hypotonic waves - the new moon, when the blood, on the contrary, flows to the legs. Therefore, in critical "lunar" days, try not to load yourself with work and rest more. And also do not forget to take pills on time if they are prescribed by a doctor.

Now let's talk about the annual rhythm. It is associated with the rotation of the Earth around the Sun and determines the onset of four seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn. The change of the seasons is also a rhythm, a certain pattern that repeats from year to year. Winter traditionally symbolizes decline, spring - revival, summer - flowering, autumn - withering. But, it turns out, not everyone has a spring - a time of optimism and cheerfulness, and winter is the time of depression and apathy. Psychologists believe that everything depends on the temperament of a person. Thus, the hot season (end of spring and summer) is often unfavorable for choleric and sanguine people, and cold weather for melancholic and phlegmatic people. Therefore, in transition periods it is useful to take a vacation. With the arrival of cold weather on vacation it is recommended to go to melancholic and phlegmatic people. And at the junction of spring and summer, it is better to forget about the work of choleric and sanguine people for a while. I must say that this point of view is not indisputable, given that there are almost no "pure" sanguine or phlegmatic people - most of us have a little of all types of temperament. However, it is still worth listening to. It is equally important to listen to seasonal biorhythms also because they are "guilty" of the incidence at a certain time of the year. For example, in autumn and spring, the stomach ulcer, allergies and rheumatism are traditionally exacerbated. Therefore, those who suffer from the listed seasonal sickness, it is worthwhile in advance, without waiting for the onset of spring or autumn, to take care of their prevention.

And now let's try to collect together the recommendations of doctors on how not to "quarrel" with their natural cycles and biorhythms - and to adjust their lives for them:

- Try to rationally use the mental and physical upsides of your body. Each person has individual biorhythms, but still experts have noticed that in certain months of the year activity increases. Numerous studies have shown that in the best form we are in the 1st, 5th, 6th and 10th months after the birthday. So calculate the months of recovery and act boldly at this time! But on the 2 nd month after birth and the last before the very birthday should "lie to the bottom." It was at this time that many of us feel overwhelmed, tired and unhappy with everything and everyone;

- in the period of decline do not be upset and do not fall into despondency, because soon the situation will change! Of course, by effort of will you can cheer up the functionality of your body, even when it is in the "minus", but do not overdo it. The rhythm regulators act according to the pendulum principle, and the more the pendulum deviates one-sidedly, the stronger the deviation to the other. In other words, if you drive your body to the limit, the recovery period will increase accordingly;

- Build the day mode with your chronotype. Go to bed no later than 11-12 hours of the night and sleep at least 8 hours. If you fall asleep later, a full sleep will not work. In addition, scientists have found that when sleep is postponed for 3 hours, intelligence and memory diminish almost twofold, the brain does not rest and the person feels absolutely broken. If you are an "owl" and hardly fall asleep, take a 10-minute bath with a water temperature of 37-38 degrees before going to bed. A contrast shower or just washing with cold water in the mornings will make even the most sleepy "owl" wake up;

- Regular exercise will help keep your biorhythms intact. It is only important to choose the right time to visit the gym. "Larks" can go there and in the morning, but not earlier than 9 am (in the blood there is too much cortisone, a stress hormone, and there will be little use of shaping with aerobic exercise). "Owl" is better to postpone sports activities for the second half of the day. It is believed that the optimal time for sports is after 16 hours. In these hours you will easily cope with any load and the effect of training will be higher than at other times;

- The diet should also be coordinated with biorhythms. An early breakfast at 7 am will not hurt your figure in any way, even if you allow yourself a piece of cream cake or a huge buttered sandwich. At this time, carbohydrates are mainly converted into energy and immediately disintegrate. And all that you ate at breakfast, will never turn into fat (you must agree, it is necessary to wake up early to eat everything that the soul desires!) But snacks for sleep will not bring anything good - in addition to obesity they are fraught with nightmares as well ;

- the change of time zones significantly affects the biorhythms - with a new waist time there is a mismatch of the daily rhythms, as well as the rhythms of the vital functions of the organism. Therefore, if possible, give up too frequent flights to the tropics or the Arctic Circle - pity yourself. And if traveling is inevitable, remember that the organism adapts to the new conditions only after 3-10 days. Accordingly, try to increase the duration of your stay in distant countries;

- Finally, get treatment by the clock! After many centuries ago, Chinese doctors noticed that in our body, even every organ has its own biorhythm. Your task is to remember at what time certain organs are most active, and if possible, at this time, conduct medical manipulations. So, the ear is most susceptible to treatment from 14 to 16 hours (and compresses must be done at this time, and not at night!), The peak of heart activity occurs at 11-13 hours, the lungs work for all power around four o'clock in the afternoon, and the kidneys - from 15 to 17 hours. It is no accident that Chinese medicine has created a specific treatment scheme that corresponds to natural cycles and human biorhythms. By the way, the correctness of this approach has been confirmed by numerous studies by Russian doctors;

- try to track your health for at least a few months, fixing in the diary all the ups and downs of your body. Watch the dynamics and in the future make a clear plan: what hours you better wake up and fall asleep, start and finish work and so on. Set up your body correctly, and your well-being will greatly improve!
