People who sleep less than 6 hours a day or more than nine will be obese

The best sleep for an adult is seven to eight hours, according to a new study commissioned by the US government. This study at the same time links predilection for smoking with insufficient sleep, and too weak physical activity - with the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Scientists have determined that obesity and other health problems often appear in those who do not have a healthy sleep. All of the findings indicate that health is detrimental to both excessive sleep and too short, the researchers note. Conclusions of scientists from the University of Colorado are based on a survey of 87,000 adult citizens of America from 2004 to 2006. During the research, other factors, such as depression, that could well lead to overeating, smoking, insomnia and other problems were not taken into account.
