Shuriken, made in the origami technique, is one of the most common paper crafts. There are several ways to make it, the simplest version will take quite a bit of time. If you follow the step-by-step instructions, it is not difficult to make shuriken from paper with your own hands.
What is shuriken?
Shuriken is a star used by ninjas and samurai. This concept came from Japan, in translation it means "a blade hidden in the hand". Shuriken was used as a throwing weapon, which always helped in the most exciting moments of the battle. It was made of thin stripes of metal, there must have been sharp beams. Shurikens differed in appearance. They consisted of eight, four or five corners. A special hole was provided in the center of the weapon, which improved its aerodynamic properties.Shuriken scheme
There are several techniques for manufacturing shuriken, which can be seen in the diagrams below.- paper - it is desirable to use two-sided colored paper, if it is not, you can take conventional A4 sheets;
- scissors (can be replaced with a stationery knife);
- ruler;
- a pen;
- ornaments at will.
Step-by-step instruction for manufacturing shuriken
Below is a step-by-step instruction with a photo that will help make a shuriken from paper even to a child.- First you need to prepare a square of paper. It can be made from a regular sheet of A4 paper, if you fold it diagonally into a triangle, and then cut off the excess part from below with scissors.
- Then the resulting square of paper should be cut into two identical parts, as shown in the photo.
- After that, each piece of paper must be folded in half.
- Then it is necessary to form bends. To do this, each corner should be bent down. It is very important that they bend to the opposite diagonals, otherwise a serious mistake will be made. How to do it, you can see in the photo.
- When the previous action is completed, you can proceed to the next step. It is necessary to bend both corners of the future shuriken from the paper to the center. But first you need to wrap both ends of the element to each other. Then it is necessary to tighten them in different directions.
- At the next stage, the star is assembled. To do this, one piece of paper craft is superimposed on the other perpendicularly.
- The upper edge of the paper part, which is located from the bottom, must be wrapped in a recess located in the center of the top element, that is, to connect the parts.
- To further manufacture shuriken from paper, tighten the upper corner inside this recess. Similar actions are performed with the bottom corner.
- Then the paper craft should be turned over and the remaining blades turned into the recess. This will help to firmly connect each element.
