Precious myth: animalistic brooches Van Cleef & Arpels

The jewelry collection of L'Arche de Noé by Van Cleef & Arpels is exceptional in all respects. Designers of the brand managed to skillfully beat the canonical biblical motifs - perhaps because the source of inspiration for the series "Noah's Ark" was the delightful painting of the same name by Jan Brueghel.

The collection continues the old tradition of the house to create miniature paired brooches. Each precious set is a duet of funny animals, showing a second-rate sketch. Differences in postures, gestures and facial expressions allow one to catch hidden ironic accents. However, there are unexpected exceptions - fantasy unicorns, phoenix and pegasus are released in single copies.

The process of creating miniatures is complicated and painstaking

The charm of tiny accessories fascinates - sparks and iridescent overflows of diamonds, colored sapphires, spessartins, turquoise, onyx and malachite mysteriously flicker on the gold ligature, creating the illusion of movement. Figures seem surprisingly alive, endowed with magical properties - this skill is not available to every jewelry house. But Van Cleef & Arpels, undoubtedly, is one of them.
