Who is exposed to pressotherapy ?
In addition to affecting cellulite, pressotherapy has a wide range of applications. It can be recommended to people who are overweight, who have heavy legs, who are muscular, and procedures are recommended for the prevention of thrombosis, for various edemas (postoperative, post traumatic), etc.
Although pressotherapy gives good results for controlling excess weight, procedures alone will not be enough with the help of the apparatus, it is necessary to maintain proper nutrition and exercise. Pressotherapy can be considered as an additional and auxiliary procedure, but not as the main method in dealing with the listed problems. For example, in combination with a course of anti-cellulite massage or with a course of procedures of local ozone therapy, pressotherapy gives good results.
Pressotherapy procedures
The procedure of pressure therapy can be carried out in two ways. In one case, a suit is used that looks like a spacesuit. In another variant, pneumomassage is carried out with the help of cuffs, which are worn on problem areas of the body. The second option is more practical, because people come with different complexions. Some experts recommend performing pneumomassage only on certain parts of the body. For example, pressotherapy for pregnant women is indicated for swelling and is performed only on the legs. The whole procedure is carried out lying down. In each individual case, the customer is given a specific program, the compressed air will be delivered in a certain sequence after a certain period of time under a certain pressure. The time of the procedure can be different - about 20-30 minutes and up to 1.5 hours. In the case of cellulite, the procedure lasts 30 minutes.
Despite all the wonderfulness of this procedure, pressotherapy is still contraindicated with the following problems:
- cardiovascular failure;
- hepatic and renal insufficiency;
- varicose veins in advanced stages;
- thrombophlebitis;
- hypertensive disease (GB);
- with skin diseases;
- with diabetic vascular lesions;
- with thrombosis.
