Prince William and Kate: The Wedding

William and Kate - this is a modern example of the fact that there are still fairy tales and princes marry beautiful girls. Now, on many pages of newspapers you can see the headlines: "Prince William and Kate: wedding." But, how did their story begin, how did Prince William get acquainted with this girl? So, let's remember what preceded the event: Prince William and Kate - the wedding ceremony.

Who is he, Prince William? In addition to being naturally a blue-blooded man, one of the heirs of the British crown, he is a twenty-nine year old boy who was born on June 21, 1982. William was the first son of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

While William was just born, his future wife has already turned six months old. Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born on January 9, 1982. Her family is not at all noble, as her father comes from the middle class, and her mother comes from the family of coal miners. Kate spent her childhood in the county of Bergshire. While she was very small, her mother worked as a stewardess, and her father as an air traffic controller. When the girl was five, they founded a small company that produced various goods for organizing all kinds of parties. This business developed very quickly and was bearing fruit. Soon, Kate's parents became millionaires and could give their children not to ordinary schools, but to prestigious, private, elite institutions. Thanks to good education, in 2001, Kate was able to enroll in the University of St. Andrews in the Scottish district of Fife. This is where the fate of the prince, who studied history of art in the same university, brought her. But initially the guys were not familiar. Kate talked with her classmates, and William was friends with the guys from his faculty. This lasted about a year, until the prince decided to go to a charity fashion show. It was there that the guy saw Kate, who acted as a model. A little time passed and William, along with Kate, as well as their friends Olivia Blisdale and Fergus Boyd decided to rent an apartment together. The choice fell on the apartments that were in the house on one of the central streets of the campus of St Andrews in Scotland. Initially, William and Kate said they were just friends and live together as one company, not as a couple. Of course, journalists constantly tried to find confirmation that the couple had something more than friendship, but William managed to reject and deny all the rumors and gossip.

But the guys could not hide for too long. In 2004, they began to notice more and more often together. The guys walked together, and the importunate paparazzi did not forget to take photos of them all the time. In the end, William and Kate could no longer refute these material evidence and admitted that they really fell in love with each other. When in April 2004 the boys returned from Switzerland, where they skied, William and Kate decided to announce that they meet, officially and publicly. Of course, since that time, there have been constant discussions that the wedding is just around the corner. But, the guys were not really in a hurry, although Kate was already a member of her noble boy's family. For example, in 2006, Queen Elizabeth invited the girl to an annual royal Christmas dinner. However, the girl at that time refused the invitation, explaining this by saying that she wants to spend this family holiday with her parents. But this behavior of the queen spoke about the fact that Kate already consider her a noble family. This confirmed the appearance of Kate in the royal box, in March 2006, at the Cheltenham racetrack.

But Prince William still did not want to marry. He decided that he would not be bound by the bonds of marriage until the age of thirty, as Kate informed him, when they were both twenty-five. The girl took it calmly, perhaps feeling that the guy loves her too much and will not last so long. In the end, that's how it all happened. In the fall of 2010, the prince asked the hands of his lover. On November 16, 2010, an engagement was announced. The wedding of the prince and his beloved was to take place on April 29th, 2011. All the winter the couple appeared, as the official bride and groom. For example, they together came to the coast of Wales to participate in the launching of lifeboats. As the prince's fiancée, Kate was honored to pour champagne on boats. As is known, thanks to this tradition, the ship will never get into an accident and drown.

Well, at the end of April, as planned, the wedding of the prince took place. This event was expected by the whole of Great Britain, and other countries also showed keen interest to it. Preparation for this celebration lasted as much as a hundred and fifty-five days. The bride and groom vowed to be faithful to each other before the altar at Westminster Abbey.

Many residents of Great Britain watched the broadcast of this event online, and those who were at that time in London, were lucky to see everything with their own eyes.

True, this wedding is not considered public, as Prince William is the second, and not the first contender for the crown. But, nevertheless, the royal family has invested a lot of money in order that the wedding ceremony turned out chic and memorable. Among the guests there were many nobles: kings and queens, princesses and princes, duchesses and dukes, countesses and counts, crown princes, rabbi, priest, prime minister of Great Britain. There were on this celebration and such famous British celebrities as Elton John and the wife of Beckham.

In total there were about two thousand people at the wedding. If we talk about the appearance of the prince and the newly-born princess, William was dressed in a red uniform, worn by colonels of the Irish guardsmen. And Kate had a beautiful white dress with lace and a long train, which was designed by the fashion designer Alexander Mc Queen. The engagement ring for the bride was also made according to a special project by the jewelers of Varzky. By the way, the prince does not want to wear a ring, so this jewelry can be seen only on the ring finger of his wife.
