Quality essential oils

Qualitative and natural essential oils are volatile substances that have a rather complex chemical composition contained in plants. Namely, in their leaves, wood, flowers, roots, fruits, the skin of the fruit. These substances are extracted from plants in various ways.

What determines the quality of essential oils

The quality of essential oils depends, first of all, on the way they are produced. The most qualitative oils are obtained by distillation with water vapor. With this method of obtaining oils, essences are extracted which are contained in roots, leaves, wood, etc. The essential oils contained in citrus fruits are obtained by a solvent extraction method. But even the best quality oils have a small percentage of the solvent. It is from the correctness of the technological process for the production of essential oils that their quality directly depends. For example, if citrus essential oils are a by-product of juice production by centrifugation, a low quality essential oil containing impurities and spoiling is obtained quickly. The quality of the oil obtained by cold pressing the peel is much higher than the previous one and costs more.

How to choose quality and natural essential oils

The most important indicator of the quality of essential oils is their price. For these oils, the retail price in stores should be higher than when buying online. Essentially essential oils, which are sold in domestic stores, are products bought abroad, and we have bottled oil.

The second indicator influencing the choice of essential oils is the ratio of certain types of oil prices to one manufacturer. The initial price for the products is approximately the same for all. For example, geranium, ylang, etc. oils should be more expensive than a tea tree or an orange. Even more expensive will be essential oils sandalwood, chamomile.

The next sign, which selects a quality essential oil - is the design of the goods. On the label must be present: the inscription 100% artifisches, 100% pure or 100% essential oil (Latin name of plants). The bottle should be made of dark glass - natural oils are sensitive to light. The bottle should be 2 and 5 ml for expensive oils and there is 10 ml each, there should be a dispenser. Also on the label should be: shelf life, manufacturer, storage conditions, etc.

To choose a high-quality essential oil, you need to listen "to your own nose." When buying a plant oil that you know - determine by "nose", like the aroma of a particular plant, try to determine whether there is alcohol or artificial impregnations in the oil. Always the natural aroma is slightly modified. Immediately evaporate light notes, from a sharp and fresh smell turns to more tart. Then gradually in a fragrance more heavy notes appear. Synthetic fragrance, unlike natural essential oils, will weaken. When choosing an essential oil for the first time, it is difficult to identify such nuances. You can conduct a special test. Take three sheets of paper, for each drip the same essential oil, but with a delay of half an hour. Each leaf must come with a different flavor.

The next factor, by which you can choose an ethereal quality oil - is another test. A piece of paper is needed to assess the quality of the oil with a stain. Drip a drop of oil onto the paper. If the essential oil is of high quality, the stain will completely evaporate, leaving no trace. In case there is a stain on the paper, the oil contains artificial aromas that are dissolved in fatty oil. But there are such natural and quality oils that leave light oily stains on a sheet of paper. This is incense, myrrh, sandalwood.

It is better to buy a pair of bottles with quality essential oils than cheap synthetics. Selecting essential oil is necessary for the purposes that you want to achieve. Quality and natural essential oils should be in the appropriate packaging and the price for them will not be low.
