How to clean a leather jacket from stains at home?

There are many ways that you can return an attractive look to your leather jacket. The main thing is to determine what you tarnished her.

  1. The stain from the ink is removed with the help of medical alcohol or ordinary glycerin, which must first be heated a little. Apply this or that remedy on a cotton swab and wipe the stain. Cookery salt copes equally well with ink, though this method will take you some time. Pour a little wet salt on the stain and wait a few days. After that, remove it and wipe the area with a cloth, previously moistened in turpentine.

  2. Fat stains also recede before medical alcohol. If there is no alcohol, use glycerin soap or potato starch. To remove the stain with starch, dilute it with water (it should become similar to sour cream) and place on the stain. Wait 15 minutes and rinse. You can also remove the grease stain with a conventional hair dryer. To do this, take a clean paper towel, put it on the stain and heat the area with a hairdryer. As a result, the fat will melt and soak into the napkin.

  3. If blood gets into your jacket, you must immediately remove it with soapy cool water. Do not leave it without attention, because when hardening the blood penetrates deeply into the pores of the skin and it will not be possible to withdraw it. Instead of water, you can use peroxide, but very carefully, since this substance is able not only to remove dirt, but also completely discolor the skin. It is better to experiment first somewhere on a subtle area. In the fight against blemishes on the leather jacket still helps the usual aspirin. It must be dissolved in water, and after that, a good rub in the stain.

  4. The mold can be removed with gasoline. The product is effective, but the smell will remain for a long time. Only the lemon can get rid of it. So, after you rub through the stain, walk on it with a lemon.

  5. Perhaps this will seem surprising, but ordinary water also leaves unpleasant spots. You can remove them with the help of ordinary table vinegar. It is enough to moisten in it a cotton swab and wipe the jacket.
