Work on the decline

You managed to make a successful career, caused envy not only from colleagues, but also from acquaintances and not very familiar. You worked all day and night without days off and holidays, but, suddenly, something happens, and you are out of work. What happens at such moments?

Dismissal.
It happens that you suddenly were fired or you were forced to leave your prestigious job. Now you have become an ordinary person without bonuses, insurance, bonuses. Do not give in to the temptation to fall into a deep depression, with you there was experience, knowledge and ability to achieve one's own.
Take this dismissal as an extraordinary holiday. Now you finally get some sleep, see your friends and relatives, go to courses that you never had enough time, and do yoga or languages. Rest is, of course, perfect, but money will end sooner or later.
So do not relax, do not plan to stay at home for a long time. Think about what area and firm you would like to work in, make a resume taking into account your experience and achievements, and send it to different companies. While you are waiting for answers and invitations to the interview, you will have time to rest. The main thing in such a moment is not to lower the bar and not succumb to the desire to find work in - easier.

Revenge.
To lose a successful career, a high salary and a chief's chair is always not easy. You feel that you have been treated unfairly, that without you the company will not last long and, perhaps, draw pictures of terrible revenge. Think what you want, most importantly, do not make public hysterics. Think for what reason it happened to you. Find the pros in your dismissal, even if it is absolutely not deserved. This experience will help you draw conclusions, not to succumb to such a bait and avoid large losses in the future.

Control emotions.
For the time that you went on the career ladder, for sure, you had to learn to keep your emotions in check. At the time of such stress, this skill can be especially useful. Therefore, as soon as you feel the desire to do something unusual for you, stop for a second and think. Are there any minute weaknesses in the loss of reputation? Do you need to do things for which you will then be ashamed? Is it necessary to aggravate the situation even more?
Naturally, you will regret losing a new job. Former colleagues, friends, relatives - they all will want to pity you. Do not avoid this, let close people help you survive this hard time. The main thing is not to allow yourself to feel sorry for yourself for too long, otherwise you will be stuck in one place.

New work.
Contrary to all your expectations, the search for a new job can drag on. Do not expect stunning suggestions in the first week from the beginning of the job search. But know, if it's been 3 months since your dismissal, and you still have not found a job, maybe you are not looking there or your requirements are overestimated. Once again, review your resume and the area where you would like to improve. If your requests and requirements for a new job really match the experience, skills and qualifications, try again and again. If you demand the impossible, you will have to descend from heaven to earth.

Even if you have already been to several interviews, but have been denied, do not panic. Do not be afraid that all subsequent interviews will be equally unsuccessful. If the future employer sees your insecurity, he will prefer another candidate. Be as strong and self-confident as you were when you held a high office.

As a true professional, you should be ready not only for victories, but also for losses. This sad experience can serve a good service in the future - you can easily predict the behavior of colleagues or the boss, you will be able to avoid conflict or solve it in your favor. And you'll be sure that no situation can get you out of the rut.
