About the recipe I want to draw your attention to the rather interesting halva recipe from the Turkmen cuisine - ak-halva. Ak-halva is a very sweet, delicious and fragile sweetness. To the taste of ak-halva, if it is a relative of ours, from childhood the favorite halva from sunflower seeds, then very distant. In my subjective opinion, ak-halva is more like sherbet than "ordinary" halva. But, despite all the differences, ak-halva has its own special "character", which is manifested, first of all, due to the content of a large number of nuts, and which, in addition, is emphasized by the aroma of sunflower oil.
Ingredients:- Wheat flour 5 tbsp. l.
- Water 1 tbsp.
- Sugar 4 tbsp.
- Walnut walnut 1.5 tbsp.
- Citric acid 0.5 tsp.
- Sunflower unrefined oil 1 tbsp. l.
- Step 1 The main ingredients: flour, sugar, water, nuts, citric acid and sunflower oil.
- Step 2 Grind the nuts.
- Step 3 Pour a glass of water into a saucepan and cover it with sugar. Bring to a boil. Then cook over low heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Step 4 Next, pour the nuts and flour into the sugar syrup and add a pinch of citric acid. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes stirring constantly. Also, at this stage, you need to make sure that there are no lumps of flour left. If any, then they can be rubbed with a spoon against the walls of the pan.
- Step 5 Then pour it on the previously pre-oiled with a sunflower oil tray. I used the usual frying pan. Then we let the halva completely cool.
- Step 6 After the halva has cooled, cut it into pieces and let it air for 15-20 minutes. The sweetness is ready.
