Bellflower - Plants

Bell (Campanula) belongs to the family of bellflowers. It grows in the south of Italy. The bell is a beautiful and gentle herbaceous plant, numbering about 300 species. A bell is an equal-sized or a domestic bell - it's an ampel flower that grows better in a pot-plant pot.

The bell has long innumerable shoots, which are covered with small leaves, which have a rounded shape and with denticles along the edges. Plants of the bell are valued for delicate and beautiful flowers, which in diameter reach up to 3.5 cm, can be blue or white. The plant blooms in the spring-autumn period.

In the people the bell received many names: "bride" or "groom" (depends on the color of the petals), "shooting star", "snowflake", "Bethlehem star". Among the people there is a belief that once a year, namely, Ivan Kupala (in the night), all the bells ring. This belief can be checked by yourself: put the plant in your house, the more unpretentious it is.
