The recipe for a cake from boiled carrots Carrots are loved by mankind for about 3000 years. True, until the XII century carrots in Europe consumed more horses than people, while resourceful Spaniards did not serve carrots with vinegar and olive oil. Approximately at the same time, but Italians began to cook it with honey and serve for dessert. And if in Spain and Italy carrots were used for food, then in England the leaves of this vegetable were decorated with hair. By the way, initially the carrot was not the usual orange color. The wild carrot that grew in the territory of modern Afghanistan was purple and only as a result of garden experiments it became at first pale white, then red, and only then bright orange. This "carrot" color appeared thanks to carotene and scientists from Denmark, who were able to take it out. Sweet and juicy - it is firmly entrenched in the composition of thousands of dishes and, of course, as an independent dish. Carrots can act as a snack or ingredient in a salad. This vegetable looks great in broth, second course and even in dessert.
Ingredients:- Carrot 300 g
- Honey 2 tbsp. l.
- Almond 50 g
- Butter 120 g
- Wheat Flour 240 g
- Eggs chicken 2 pcs.
- Baking powder 2 tsp.
- Salt 1 pinch
- Brown sugar 4 tsp.
- Sugar, vanilla 15 g
- Step 1 To make this cake take: carrots, almonds, butter, honey, brown or white sugar, baking powder, flour.
- Step 2 First of all put the carrots to cook (cook for 30 minutes from the moment of boiling). In the meantime, cook carrots, whisk egg whites with salt.
- Step 3 Melt butter and honey.
- Step 4 Crude almonds fill with cold water and leave for 15 minutes. After that, separate the skin and divide each almond into halves.
- Step 5 Remove the boiled carrots from the peel and grate them with a small grater.
- Step 6 In a deep bowl, combine the beaten eggs with melted butter and honey, sugar and vanilla.
- Step 7 Add grated carrots and almonds to the mass. Stir thoroughly.
- Step 8 Then into the mass, enter the flour and baking powder, constantly mixing the dough.
- Step 9 Lubricate the cake mold generously with a butter (do not lubricate the silicone mold) and fill it with dough. The top is decorated with almonds. Cupcake bake in a preheated to 170 ° C oven for 20-30 minutes.
