- sugar - 11/4 Cups
- freshly squeezed lime juice (about 9 limes) - 11/4 Cups
- cherries - 1.3 Kilogram
- of vodka - 500 Grams
- a bottle of sparkling water (750 ml) - 1 Piece
Bring sugar and 1/4 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, allow to cool completely. You should get about 2 cups of syrup. The syrup can be stored in a refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 1 month. Pour lime juice into a bowl. Cut the cherry in half and add to the juice. Add the syrup. Put in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or at night). Stir the cherry mixture and vodka in a large bowl. Fill 12 glasses of ice. Put 1/2 cup of cherry vodka in each glass. Top up the soda water. Serve immediately.
