Filtration or the technique of dry felting wool - the oldest technique of making textiles on the ground. By sealing the wool with special needles, decorative items such as toys, clothing, accessories are created. In fact, the technique is very simple, and to create toys of wool you need only patience and a bit of skill.

For a master who decided to create toys with a dry felting, you just need to purchase a little:

• unbleached hair;
• special needles for filing;
• thick sponge foam;
• sintepon.

Let's talk more about each of the materials.

1. Wool is the main element of the woolen. With nimochen it is easy to work, the main thing is to choose for yourself a convenient way of felting. In modern stores a very large selection. For the first toys it is better to take a once-colored, more experienced masters paint it themselves. It should be noted that wool shrinks by 30%. Therefore, you need to buy it more than the required rate for your future animal.
2. Special needles for filing also will find a needle shop. It is more convenient to purchase a ready-made set of needles at once. Each will have its own unique jags, which, confusing and clinging to the wool, will consolidate it. Often in the set and there is such a thing as the needle holder. It is possible to attach several needles, which is very convenient when creating large toys. Numerigly shows its thickness. The higher the number, the thinner the needle and the smaller notches.
3. For the sake of economy, the interior of the future product can be made from a cheaper material - sintepon.
4. Sponge is useful for security reasons. Needles are quite sharp, and you can accidentally injure your fingers. In no case you can not roll the product on the weight, holding the workpiece in your hands.
   

Consider the stages of manufacturing toys.

1. We begin our hard work with the body. We divide the wool into individual small pieces and pierce with needles, twist, turn in different directions until the desired shape is obtained. The thicker the needle, the faster the product is sealed.
2. Separately we make each part of the body, and then join them together also with the help of needles by way of confusion.
3. When we receive a finished toy, we decorate it and supplement it. We add, for example, strips on the back of a cat or carrots to bunny clusters.
4. If desired, you can make your eyes with beads, and brush to comb the hair off the cat, comb the neatly obtained toy. So it will be fluffy and cute.

Filters of filtering:

• Pieces of wool should be located perpendicular to each other. So you reduce your work time, the compaction will happen sooner. And if you decide to use a sintepon, then this way of laying will not leave any lumens between the wool (the sintepon will be invisible).
• The closer the work is, the thinner the needle must be. The final piece of jewelry for making small parts is made by thin needles, and filter number 50.
• Paired details (paws, ears) are more effective than others after another. And the wool is divided for them initially before manufacturing. So the formed flaps are less likely to be of different sizes.
• You can use a wire to make the frame, especially if your animal stands on its legs. Thanks to this skeleton, the toy will be more stable and sturdy.

The most remarkable thing in the making of toys is the technique of drywalling, which later on you can make a completely different character from the manufactured character: add additional elements (a hedgehog - an apple, a hare - a carrot, a bear with a barrel of honey), change the expression of the muzzle to the animal. There is no frame, only your imagination ... and a wad of wool will turn into a wonderful toy for a child or become an exclusive gift for a birthday !!!!
