Last night, opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky spoke at the closing of the contest "New Wave". This performance is especially important for the artist, because it is the first in Russia, held after a course of treatment for a serious illness - a brain tumor, which he was diagnosed six months ago.

At the same time Dmitry himself in a conversation with reporters said that he feels well:

I feel fine, thank you very much. I have long agreed with Igor Krutym, he invited me. To those people who struggle with the disease, I can say one thing: one must fight, one must be strong and cheerful

In Sochi, the famous singer arrived yesterday with his wife, Florence. The woman admitted that during the speech her husband was crying with pride.

And today there were the latest news - Vladimir Putin awarded Dmitry Khvorostovsky with the Order of Alexander Nevsky for his services in the development of Russian culture and art, as well as for his many years of fruitful activity.
