Do I need to teach children to play?

Previously, it was considered long enough that parents do not need to interfere and participate in children's games, as children begin to play on their own. However, in fact, this is not the case at all. Most children can not play on their own, because they simply do not know how. For this reason, it is not uncommon for parents and caregivers of kindergartens to hear complaints that the child is very quickly bored even with the most interesting and colorful toys, and he absolutely does not know what to do with himself. Is it necessary to teach the kid to play?

The answer can be unequivocally: it is necessary. Studies conducted by psychologists show that the kid himself will not start playing, his playing activity will appear only under the control of the parents, in the case of joint games with them. It is the adult who can explain to the child how to take a toy, what to do with it, and also indicates the goals of the game.

Where to start learning to play the kid? To start a child you need to be interested. You can put a small sketch in front of him, for example, feed the doll, take it for a walk, ride a horse, bathe it and put it to bed. If the kid has a favorite rhyme or a fairy tale, then you can also stage it. Do not forget that games with a child should not turn into activities. Do not think that it will be enough for you to show the child how to act. Just suggesting to repeat this action to him, you will not achieve that the child is carried away by the game. To achieve this result, the adult himself must be carried away, show real emotions that would interest the baby.

During the game, try to smoothly move from one action to the next, applying planning elements. For example, "Mashenka is hungry. In order to feed her, you need to cook porridge. Let's first cook the porridge, and then feed Mashenka. " And together with the child prepare porridge for the Masha doll, and then feed it together. So the child will be able to understand that these actions are interrelated, and from one action the second follows.

During the game of cubes, the child usually aimlessly stacks them one on another. Try to explain to him that one can build a house for a dog or make a crib for a doll.

It is best to begin teaching the child games with those subjects that are more similar to real ones. In developing games for children, you gradually need to introduce replacement elements. For example, during a game with a doll you want to feed her carrots. Look for it among other toys, although it is not there. The child will closely monitor you. Find any conical object and happily say: "Here's a carrot found!". Bring dolls to your mouth and say: "Eat, Masha, a tasty and sweet carrot!". As a rule, the child is surprised and happy, but hurries to repeat all your actions.

When the child turns a year, you can gradually enter into the game elements of design, which contribute to the development of visual-figurative thinking, perception, the ability to correlate the forms of various objects. A significant benefit can bring different sets of building materials. When the baby gets bored of playing the way he can, you can invite him to build a house for a dog, furniture and a doll-making machine from cubes. Fantasize and come up with different stories in the same vein. It is not recommended to build large and cumbersome structures, since a child can get tired of such a game and lose its meaning. You do not need to use a lot of different elements of the constructor, just two or three, for example a parallelepiped, a cube and a prism. The child will not understand the scientific names of these subjects, they do not need him. It is enough that he calls them by analogy with already familiar objects: a brick, a cube, etc.

By the end of an early age, it is recommended to introduce elements of role behavior into the game. That is, when a child acts in any way, he presents himself as someone different from himself, for example, a dad, a mother, a doctor, etc. At the age of two, the baby can be gradually introduced to some role-playing positions. So, watching his game, you can say: "Katya, you are feeding your daughter like a mother!". These words will allow the girl to look at her actions differently.
