Feminism, what is it? What does it mean to be a feminist?

In our world there are a lot of social and political movements. Someone is involved in them, but somebody is left out. Probably, there is no person in the world who does not hear about such a thing as feminism. What is it and when this movement arose, read in our article.

Feminism, what is it?

Feminism is a socio-political movement, the principle of which is based on the equality of the sexes. There was a movement in the 18th century. The first wave of feminism falls on 19 and the first half of the 20th century. At this time there was an active struggle for legal equality of men and women. From the second half of the 20th century the next wave begins. Activists demand not only legal, but also actual equality. In the late seventies, the movement becomes massive. More and more women are beginning to support the idea of feminism, regular rallies and rallies, associations and groups are being created. In the eighties, the excitement around the movement is dropping slightly.

Probably, there is no social phenomenon that causes so much disagreement, like feminism. What is this movement and what is its purpose? According to activists, the goal is to develop women's spirituality.

If earlier the concept of feminism and everything connected with it seemed to our citizens to be something distant and unrealizable, then after the "Iron Curtain" was raised this social phenomenon burst into our life.

Feminist, who is this?

The opinion of who such feminists are, has long been divided. Of course, it is quite logical that a feminist is a woman who supports the idea of complete equality between a weak and a strong gender.

Female feminists do not want to be dependent on men. Someone condemns them for this. And many men and do not understand the meaning of this movement at all, and they are frightened by the arguments of activists.

From the data of the survey conducted in a strong half of humanity about what a feminist means, the majority answered that the common features of such women is aggression towards members of the opposite sex. Girls specifically go to the conflict, I prove my rightness. In addition, ladies try to take the lead in everything, both at work and at home. Obsessively they dictate their opinion to everyone around them, convincing them that they are right. Behave tactlessly. If you try to express some criticism in their address, you can run into a storm of emotions. Feminists perceive any criticism as a personal insult to their person. In all life failures, they also blame the men.

The next feature that distinguishes feminists from other women is masculine behavior. Girls in many ways imitate the male population. It can be traced in clothes, in a manner of behavior, and even a gait at them becomes any "man's".

The sphere of interest for feminists is also mostly "male". Women try to assert themselves and prove to the opposite sex that they are no worse, or even better, able to cope with duties that are traditionally considered masculine.

What interests ordinary girls (family, way of life, needlework, parenting), they are not interested, and even causes contempt on their part.

One of the features of many activists is misinformation. Girls do not want to get married, have children and often remain alone.

Feminism - what it means, and whether it's good or bad, is difficult to answer. The very idea of this movement was good and, let's not blame the soul, feminists have achieved a lot. However, although many supporters of this movement deny this, the role of women is to be the mother and guardian of the hearth. This is inherent in nature. Why fight with men and try to prove to them who is better? Let's treat each other with respect, and then our life will become much happier.
