Hair coloring: staining features and stages

Coloring hair is a kind of coloring, the essence of which is the combination of harmonious or achromatic colors. Thanks to correctly executed coloring it is possible not only to "revive" the texture of the haircut, but even to change the shape of the face or hide the small imperfections of the exterior. The features of this coloring, its types and stages will be discussed in our article.

Hair coloring: types and patterns of performance

The methods for performing coloration are multivariate, and the color schemes and schemes of applying colorants are selected depending on the task. Such staining is often situational and can be modified in the process, depending on the type of hair, their quality and the texture of the haircut.

Depending on the palette used, coloring can be: contrasting and harmonious. For contrast, as a rule, achromatic colors are used. Especially effectively, this coloring looks on blondes, for example, a combination of a platinum blonde and black color. But this option looks pretty bold, so more popular is the harmonious coloring - a combination of similar tones, which differ from each other with minor color transitions.

At dark coloring on dark hair shades of red, burgundy, brown, violet are most often used. If the task is to add darker curls to lighter glare, separate hair sectors discolor, and then give them the necessary color.

Coloring blondes implies two-tri-color staining, the purpose of which is to blend lighter strands with darker strands. This color combination visually increases the volume of the hair, and the haircut itself looks more dynamic. On light curls it is better to use shades of a warm blonde, close to natural. But along with the fashion trend to natural naturalness, which reigns in the hairdresser's world for more than one season, the actual trend in coloring blondes is the use of pastel pink, mint and pale turquoise shades. These same tendencies also apply to the multicolor staining of the blonde and redheads.

For coloring the house and suitable for ordinary store colors, designed for self-use. We offer you a variant of copper coloring on dark hair, which will require dyes of three different shades:

  2. blond intense copper (8/44)
  3. Copper-golden light blonde (9/43)
On a note! If the depth of hair tone is not lower than medium-light hair, then you can do without preliminary discoloration. Darker curls need to be clarified.

The main stages of staining:

  1. The coloring procedure begins with a division into zones, as shown in the photo. If there is a bang, it must be separated.

  2. On the hair of the occipital region, apply a color shade 7/45, mixed with a 3-6% oxidant in the proportion recommended by the manufacturer. If desired, the color of this zone can not be changed, leaving the original one. In this case, the strands, which according to the scheme need to be painted No. 7/45, also leave untouched.
  3. On the temporomandibular zones with diagonal seals, begin to separate thin strands up to 0.5 cm in thickness.

  4. Prepare three more compositions:
    • dye No. 7/45 and an oxidant of 3-6%
    • dye No. 8/44 and oxidant 6%
    • dye No. 9/43 and oxidant 9%

Mixing proportions according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. Put foil or thermal paper under each strand, starting from the parting between the occipital and temporomandibular zone, apply the dyes in the sequence: 7 / 45-8 / 44-9 / 43. To isolate strands from each other, cover each of them with foil. The zone of bangs work last.

  6. After dyeing the necessary time, remove the foil and wash the head with shampoo for colored curls. Spectacular copper coloring on dark hair - ready!
