Hair transplantation for eyelashes

A woman's look always fascinated and attracted men. Beautiful and fascinating, it largely depends on the presence of thick and long eyelashes. But not every one of us mother-nature endowed with luxurious eyelashes, so many women resort to mascara and false eyelashes. And not so long ago in the field of cosmetology began to apply a new technique - follicular extraction of hair, which is also called - hair transplantation for the eyelashes.

Eyelashes are not only an important attribute of an attractive appearance, but first of all they are designed to protect the mucous membrane of the eyes from the ingress of foreign particles. Eyelashes are the same hair, differing only in that they lack the core of the hair. At first glance, it may seem that eyelashes for a century are few. But, for example, there are about a hundred on the lower eyelid, and in the upper century there are about two hundred. The life expectancy of the cilia on average is about seven months, after which the cilium falls out, and on the other grows. And this happens throughout life.

However, there are cases when the loss of eyelashes is too intense. This can be influenced by factors such as the use of unsuitable or substandard cosmetics, the use of medications that are prescribed for chemotherapy, various skin diseases, frequent curling of eyelashes, etc.

Eyelash transplantation: indications for the procedure

Hair transplantation for eyelashes is recommended for women and men who lost eyelashes as a result of injuries, burns or cicatricial changes on the eyelids (chemotherapy, removal of papillomas). But eyelashes also make transplantation to those who are keen to turn their modest cilia into chic, thick and long.

Ways of transplanting eyelashes

There are two main ways of eyelash transplantation: individual and collective.

Collective method

Hair transplantation (hair follicles) for the lashes in a collective way is carried out using local anesthesia. From the occipital part of the head (it is called the donor zone), the so-called transplants or grafts are cut out, which in turn consist of three follicles and have hairs circumcised to four millimeters and having a minimal amount of surrounding tissue. Then this graft is inserted into a special prepared needle. In the places of implant implantation, small incisions are made on the eyelids, in which a graft is transplanted with a needle. At the end of two weeks after the operation the implanted hairs die and fall out, but their follicles take root, and within about four months, the process of growth of new cilia begins.

The collective method of eyelash transplantation is not laborious and quite effective, but, despite this, it has its drawbacks. Since the eyelids are very sensitive to any effect, the incisions that are made with this method of eyelash transplantation can lead to hematomas and the development of edema. It is also important that the scalp is thicker than the skin of the eyelids, so the sites that have been transplanted can protrude slightly, giving the eyelids an unevenness and swelling. Moreover, the result after the transplantation of eyelashes by this method will be noticeable only after the expiration of three to four months.

Individual method

With an individual method of hair transplantation, local anesthesia is also used. The donor area is also the occipital part, however, with this method of hair, one follicle is taken. Using a special needle, the individual graft loaded into it is injected into the eyelid to the required depth. This transplant process is constantly under the control of a high-precision optical device. Before transplanting hair, it is grinded and shortened. Do this in order to narrow the tip of the future eyelash, giving it a more natural shape. With an individual method, a number of eyelashes are formed. This method is more complicated than the collective method of eyelash transplantation, but it has its advantages: the result is instantaneous, and to the maximum approximate to the natural. In addition, it is not complicated by hematomas and swelling (with the exception of rare cases).

Individual transplantation for eyelashes of hair follicles is recommended even for those who have only partially lost eyelashes in one century. In such a situation, the eyelid of another eye can act as a donor area.

Rehabilitation period after eyelash transplantation

Regardless of the method of eyelash transplantation, the rehabilitation period lasts two to three days.

Transplanting hair follicles for the eyebrows

To correct the shape and density of these methods for hair transplant can be applied to the eyebrows. Eyebrows begin to thin for the same reasons as eyelashes. In addition, this list can include the desire of many women to change the thickness and shape of the eyebrows themselves with tweezers, which can lead to sad consequences, as well as to the disease of the thyroid gland.

Before the process of hair transplantation for the eyebrows should consult a specialist and describe in detail the desired shape of the eyebrows. Hair will also be transplanted from the occipital part of the head to the face area at a certain angle, taking into account the wishes of the patient. Rehabilitation period and care for transplanted eyebrows is the same as for eyelashes. To correct the shape of your eyebrows after a transplant will be impossible.

There are also contraindications for eyelash transplantation:

Contraindications include, for example, curly hair on the donor area, because it's hard to imagine curly eyelashes.
