The harvest festival is a traditional autumn celebration, dedicated to fertility, family well-being and all harvested fruits. Annually, by the beginning of the celebration, all field work is completed: harvesting of flax, harvesting, export of bread and barns. The foundation of the family's welfare for the next year is considered to be laid, and it's time to thank and honor the Mother of God for her benevolence and help from above. After all, it is she who, according to religious treatises, patronizes mothers, families, the poor and all farmers. The European holiday with a pagan adventure has many names in the territory of the Slavic peoples: Oseniny, Bogach, Spozha, Bogoroditskaya, Druha Prechista, Second meeting of autumn, etc. But with the passage of time and changing working conditions, the importance of the autumn celebration has faded slightly, and the essence of it has changed slightly. Somewhere the harvest festival turned into a magnificent festival or a themed fair, and somewhere else it still retained its ancient folk traditions. One thing is for certain: the autumn harvest festival is celebrated annually by pensioners in the countryside, and adults in village culture houses, and high school students, and toddlers in primary school. The scenarios for children and adults are certainly different. But their essence is the same - thanks to nature and the Mother of God for the harvest, the joy from the end of the labor autumn season.
