Home delivery: sense, danger

Sooner or later every pregnant woman will have a question - where is it better to give birth at home or in the hospital? In Russia, most pregnant women fear that during childbirth there may be some complications, so they prefer to give birth in the hospital. Another category of women, who have heard about the terrible consequences and the disgusting treatment of staff in maternity homes, make a choice in favor of home birth. Do not forget that the departments of maternity homes appeared only in the last 100 years, and women gave birth to their children without the help of medical personnel at home.

Home births - meaning and danger.
On an experiment such as home births are usually those couples who have a special attitude to life. They perceive pregnancy not as a terrible disease, and childbirth - certainly not as an operation. Those women who decided to give birth at home do not categorically perceive the practice of giving birth, which is established in maternity hospitals: piercing the bladder, for leaving the water, anesthesia, stimulation, perineal incision, cesarean section or stretching the baby with forceps and the like . Such women want to give birth in a natural way in a quiet, calm environment, where they would be surrounded by people close to her. Undoubtedly, childbirth at home is much more comfortable than hospital births! Private bed, next to the bathroom, quiet music plays, the lights are slightly muffled or even candles are burning ... Moreover, the future mother of the house is surrounded by bacteria that are familiar to her body.

However, it should be remembered that a woman who decided to give birth at home is at great risk. You can take risks if there were no complications in pregnancy if the hospital is nearby or at least near your home, in case something goes wrong if the ambulance agrees to stand at the entrance, and finally if you have absolute certainty that everything will be fine. It must be remembered that for the unfavorable outcome in childbirth at home, all responsibility falls solely on you!

For those who expect a first-born, it is not recommended to give birth at home. Because it is believed that it is much more difficult than the next first birth. In addition, a woman who is pregnant for the first time, hardly imagines the process of birth and all the difficulties that may happen.

The first thing that a woman needs to do when she is pregnant is to enroll in good courses to prepare future dads and moms. These courses support two variants of childbirth. Preparatory courses provide information on pregnancy, about how the childbirth is going, how to take care of the baby in the first days of his life and about the condition of the mother, after giving birth. There you can get the coordinates of obstetricians and even get to know them personally.

Before home birth, it is necessary to check with the doctor - whether the fetus is correctly positioned with ultrasound, check the umbilical cord, and consider all the risk factors. Since many complications can be envisaged in advance! Discuss with your doctor whether there is a chance of premature delivery or a cesarean section in your case.

In the end, I would like to note that the birth in the clinic is not so terrible, as people say about it. Find a good maternity hospital with attentive doctors and medical staff, with a separate ward is a possible task, especially if a woman lives in the city. Nowadays there is a huge number of maternity hospitals where it will be offered to the father of the future child to attend childbirth and even to cut the umbilical cord, the mother in such hospital can take any pose comfortable for her during labor. Mothers will be offered to put the baby directly to the breast. However, for childbirth in such good conditions you will have to lay out a decent amount of money.

As in childbirth in the clinic, and in home births, there are pros and cons, because you do not know how everything will turn out. The choice is always yours, but also do not forget that the responsibility is also on you!
