How to go to work after maternity leave?

Returning is a bad omen? Perhaps, unless talking about going to work after a childcare leave. How to make the return as calm as possible for you and painless for the baby? The thought of having to return to work after a more or less long absence makes you sad? Countless questions sweep through my head? This is absolutely normal! In order to be on the "great day", we act according to plan. To begin with, in order to relieve tension, let's play! More precisely, imagine that we are on the playing field.

Our task is to stand on the cage "office" without going through the cage "stress" and especially bypassing the "panic" cell! So, the great day is approaching: the vacation is ending, the native enterprise is going to again take you into the orderly ranks of professionals. Our move! Playing, say, in "Monopoly", you can hope for a chance. But in a big career game, randomness is not the place, so we'll learn the main word - "planning"! How to go to work after maternity leave and what to do?

We estimate the moves

As soon as we are going on maternity leave, we realize that sooner or later we will have to return to work. But while the child is small, we drive this thought. No, there are, of course, real career frontline fighters running to the talks straight from the hospital, but this is more of an exception. However, the child grows up, and thoughts about work can not be ignored. We are mothers, which means that women are wise and prudent (at least, we can depict a proper facial expression at the right moment!). In general, we know: hiding your head in the sand is not the best strategy. Prepare as soon as possible. Problem number one: think of whom to leave the child with. A kindergarten (state, private or domestic), a permanent nanny, a babysitter alternately with grandmothers - in any case, the search for options should be done in advance, especially since the device in kindergarten is associated with various documents - one medical card can take a lot of time. At the same time, we must slowly prepare the child for the transition to "someone else's" hands. Read poems or books about the kindergarten with him, take a walk next to your future garden, tell us how the children live there. If you are breastfeeding and want, nevertheless, to return to work, you can try to keep the feeding: it is difficult, but possible. According to Art. 258 TC RF working women with children under the age of 1.5 years are provided with additional breaks for feeding the child at least every three hours - at least 30 minutes each break. Unfortunately, in the big city, even these breaks will not be enough to leave for the child. At the request of the mother and in consultation with the administration, these breaks can be combined and assigned to the end or beginning of the working day or attached to the lunch break, which gives room for maneuvers. Another way out for young mothers is partial employment. Working part-time, piece-rate work - perhaps, the bosses will arrange such an option. This can be a real salvation: do not worry, and ask for every visit to the clinic. Let you get a small salary - nerves are more expensive! Especially since it is not forever: when the child grows up, you can surrender to the work entirely.

We establish relations with partners in the game

While we are sitting at home in a quiet harbor, do not forget about those who stayed to swim in the stormy sea. Maintain relations with colleagues and activate working relations even before returning to the office. It is necessary to move in three directions. First, you need to get a corporate publication or browse the site of your company. New methods of work, new products, new appointments in those or other departments ... It is necessary to absorb so much information that it was immediately understandable: you, of course, were absent for a while, but still in the course of all affairs! Secondly, call your girlfriends from work and call them on small gatherings in a cafe. This will allow you to recall yourself trivially, so that when you enter the office, you are not looked at as a resurrected from nothingness. In addition, such a meeting will help to learn the latest gossip, which, incidentally, is very useful: the possession of "secret" information will help to prevent oversights on the return. Not to mention the pleasure that you get from talking with your friends! Thirdly, why not ask your boss about a meeting 2-3 weeks before the end of the vacation? This is a great way to clarify the situation, you will discuss the terms of return, talk about the changes that occurred during your absence. In addition, show superiors that they are happy to return to active professional life!

We place chips

We do not hear the drum rolls in the morning, nevertheless the "time" approaches. Preparation for the final "battle" includes several important actions: in order not to get tired, they must be distributed for 4 days. For 4 days, if you did not do this in advance, imagine the baby his future "second mother". Of course, if the beloved grandmother will bring up the child, the accustoming process will be facilitated, and with the nanny it is necessary to introduce gradually: to sit together at home - to give the child to reconcile with the presence of a stranger. Then it's good to take a walk in the child's favorite places, gradually leaving them alone with the nanny all the longer and longer. The next step is to fill the fridge and freezer. You should try to foresee everything to the maximum, your goal is not to run around the shops in the first working week. In addition to products, think about things, products and medicines for the child, especially if he does not stay at home, but will go to the garden or to the grandmother. There must be everything in the children's bag for "going out into the light"! Make sure that not only you and the child are ready for change, but the father of the family realized that a new stage in your life begins. Well, if he takes the child to the garden or to the grandmother - then you will not be embarrassed, and you can think about yourself ...! For 3 days, prepare and freeze several dishes: thus, in the first, most difficult, evenings in front of you there will not be an eternal question: "What do we have for dinner?". We must also take care of the wardrobe: wash and pat clothes for the whole week - and not only your own, but also your baby! Do not forget to put a lot of change clothes into the bag. For 2 DAYS we sum up: we search in memory, whether all is made? Unassembled apartment? Unpaid invoices? There is still time to fill in the blanks! Write down all the necessary telephones to communicate with the child if he is not at home. Make a list of phones for babysitting, as well as write the regime of the day, the eating habits of the child, be sure to specify the products for which he is allergic. You can tell the nurse aloud this many times, but it's safer to record. Discuss with the nurse what she should do if the child gets hurt, gets sick, - in general, follow the principle "Hard to learn - easy to fight." Per day. Have a rest! On this day, theoretically, we should not have any affairs and unpleasant work at all. We trust our baby nurse, and we do ourselves. You just have to relax. Do not deny yourself anything - to the beginning of the "battle" you must be cheerful and rested!

We start and win!

On a heat of emotions, returning to work will be compared with a difficult exam. But, if we renewed contacts with colleagues and / or with the immediate superior in advance, the first trip to the office is accompanied by less stress. Try to show off pictures of the baby less often - even if you really want to brag about your "work". Everything depends on the situation in the team, but in most cases the authorities expect labor deeds, not paying special attention to our maternal services. The indefatigable demonstration of infant photos irritates the boss and makes us think that we are not yet ready for effective work. Restraint is very useful at first, until you manifest yourself in the best possible way. At the same time nothing prevents to put in a handbag some pretty pictures of the kid - in case someone suddenly really wants to admire them! And, of course, do not call every thirty minutes a nurse or a teacher. In fact, there are no grounds for concern, and if problems arise, you will be contacted.
