How to grow a healthy and intelligent child?

Ask any parent what he wants to see his child, and 99% will answer - first of all, healthy. Unfortunately, at present, according to dry medical statistics, only 20% of children are born healthy, and 80% of children are sick at birth or begin to seriously ill with diapers. So how to grow up a healthy and intelligent child? We will try to understand today in our article.

Few people think that the foundation of a child's health is laid not even during pregnancy, but much earlier, and depend on how healthy his future parents, both mother and father. In the period of preparation for pregnancy, and experts consider it equal to half a year before the moment of the alleged conception, potential parents should undergo, as far as possible, a full medical examination, and in case of problems, immediately eliminate them. Obligatory also is the rejection of all, without exception, bad habits, such as smoking and alcohol consumption. The intake of vitamin-mineral complexes is absolutely necessary, since it directly affects the quality of produced sex cells.
The pregnancy itself is the most magical 40 weeks into which, as you know, the laying and shaping of the organs of the future baby takes place. And here, more than ever, it all depends on the mother. Its high-grade food, a healthy way of life, a quiet psychological environment in the family directly affect the health of the fetus being born.
If during pregnancy the child has normally developed protective and adaptive mechanisms, then in a new habitat, the newborn will easily adapt to it, otherwise it will start to ache. One way or another, during this period of a baby's life, he must first of all ensure proper nutrition and care.
The ideal nutrition, which took care of nature itself, for a newborn is, of course, breast milk. According to the World Health Organization, on-demand breastfeeding significantly reduces the possibility of problems such as infections, jaundice, hypoglycaemia (lowering blood sugar levels) and hypothermia (lowering body temperature).
Proper care for newborns implies, first of all, providing the baby with a comfortable environment and observing the necessary hygiene. Nothing so slows down the process of becoming immune, like overheating, arising from unjustified wrapping. It is proved, that for the baby the temperature is +22 degrees at a relative humidity of 50-70%. Excessive wrapping, causing intense sweating, literally opens the gate to all sorts of diseases.
Water procedures, being a hygienic necessity, besides this are the strongest health improving means and provide the widest opportunities for tempering a child. Hardening, in turn, helps the formation of the immune system.
Particular attention should be paid to outdoor walks, which, by raising the child's appetite, strengthening his lungs and skin, enriching the actively growing brain, is vital to the baby.
A seasoned child, who has strong immunity, usually visits kindergarten without any problems. His body easily copes with various infections, represented there in all its diversity. At this stage, in addition to balanced nutrition, continuing hardening procedures and active walks, the child must provide psychological comfort at home and in kindergarten. It is important that the child goes to the kindergarten with joy, and not bursting with tears. His peace of mind is the guarantee of physical health.
The older the child becomes, the better his immune system works. However, in school, according to statistics, the health of most children is significantly deteriorating, there are diseases that often take a chronic form. Experts believe that the main causes of health problems in schoolchildren are the lack of a proper balanced diet, insufficient physical exertion with excessive mental overload. A modern schoolboy spends most of his time sitting at his desk or computer, which leads to widespread problems with the spine and visual impairment, and improper nutrition causes diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. High demands placed on teenagers by teachers and parents often lead to the appearance of neuroses in a child.
At this stage, parents need to correctly distribute the burden on the child, try to reach the golden mean between mental and physical activities, and also be able to keep in touch with him, the loss of which can lead to very sad consequences during the adolescent period.
Thus, speaking about the health of a child of any age, we can identify the four main factors that affect it: correctly selected balanced nutrition, hardening, physical activity and spiritual comfort. The task of parents who want to see their child healthy, provide it with all this.
