Making diy from paper on the origami technique has long been an exciting activity, in which children and their parents are immersed in pleasure. One of these crafts is a jumping frog. The value of such a paper craft is that it is done by oneself. There are several ways to make it: beginners are approached by simple options, while experienced masters are able to make a more complicated craft. A frog made of paper that jumps is sure to please every child without exception. Moreover, the process of manufacturing it will not take much time.
Necessary tools and materials
Regardless of the variant of making a bouncing frog using the origami technique, similar tools and materials are used. The difference is insignificant, it consists in the way of folding paper. To make a jumping frog using the origami technique, you will need the following:- paper - you can take a color or use a normal album sheet, and then color the frog with paint;
- scissors;
- pencils, ornaments (for which there is enough imagination).
On a note! The secret of making paper crafts is in its size. The smaller the paper frog, the better it jumps. As for the stiffness of the material, it is better to use thick paper.
Schemes of a paper frog that jumps
There are several schemes for making a paper frog. All of them are somewhat similar, but they have some differences. Some schemes are available below.Step-by-step instruction on making a jumping frog
If you follow the step-by-step instructions with a photo or visually see the whole process on a video, you can easily make a jumping frog from paper with your own hands using the origami technique. Below are two ways of making paper craft.Jumping frog made of paper - method 1
To make a paper frog in this way, you need to use green paper 10x20 cm, red paper for the tab and a black marker for the design of the face.- First, you need to outline the fold lines to make it easier to fold. To do this, the upper right corner of the sheet of paper must be bent to the left, aligning the opposite sides.
- The fold is carefully pushed to better display the line, and then straightened.
- With the opposite angle of paper, you need to do the same. At first it bends.
- Then the corner is straightened.
- Then, at the intersection of the lines, the top of the sheet is folded down, as shown in the photo.
- Then she bends back. Lines of folds are now clearly drawn on paper.
- Connect points along the edges of the fold, made horizontally.
- The lower angles of the resulting triangle must be bent upwards. This forms the front legs of the frog.
- The lower part of the sheet of paper should be folded to the base of the triangle.
- Then the lower corners are bent to the center of the base, connecting with each other. It turns out such a figure, as in the photo.
- When all the above actions are performed, you need to deploy the folds made in points 9 and 10. The paper is bent at both ends, the top of the sheet lies under the frog's feet, the edges close.
- The lower corners bend to each other, the lines of folds are marked.
- The angles that were bent in point 12 are bent backward.
- The lower part is bent at two points, as in the photo.
- The fold made in point 14 turns back.
- Taking the points of intersection of the diagonals of the resulting diamond, you need to stretch them around to create something that looks like a boat.
- In the lower part on the sides turned out a triangle, it should be bent downward.
- Now it's time to make the frog's hind legs. For this, the bases of the triangles must be bent at the sides, displacing them with the upper side.
- The paper figure of the frog bends in half so that the paws are inside.
- The back of the craft is bent backwards. So the spring is formed, thanks to which the frog will jump.
Jumping frog made of paper - method 2
And here is another simple way of making a jumping frog made of paper using the origami technique. Step-by-step actions fit in one pattern.- The basis is taken by a square of green paper. It must be bent in half from top to bottom, then bend back. In the same way, it is necessary to execute the fold lines along the diagonal.
- Then the figure is folded along the fold lines, a triangle is obtained.
- The lower corners bend upward, and then return to their place.
- Next lines are drawn, as in the photo (steps 3, 4, 5).
- Angles are bent downwards along these lines, two triangles are formed, crossed among themselves. Each of them bends in half. These are the frog's feet.
- The figure bends in half, and then a spring is made, bending the part in the opposite direction.
