Try yourself to cook soap. The availability of ingredients and ease of manufacture will help us in this. When making soap with your hands, you can make soap of any color and shape, as well as choose the fragrance that you like. And most importantly, you will know what it is made of. You will certainly experience a great pleasure from work, besides you will save your wallets. Soap, made by own hands, can be wrapped in a beautiful package and presented as a gift. In a small wicker basket, decorated, for example, with straws, you can put various small pieces of soap, and your gift will be original.
To prepare soap, we will need:
- a soap base for which a baby soap is suitable;
- Glycerin and vitamin E in oily solution (optional), which are sold in pharmacies;
- Base oils, for example, coconut, olive, almond or other. The main thing is that the oil does not have a smell.
To make soap with our own hands, we will still need fillers. The choice of filler depends on what properties you want from it. It is good to use saffron as a filler. Saffron should be red-yellow, not yellow, which is sold in the markets. From saffron soap the skin becomes fresh, radiant and very gentle. You can also use the turn, chamomile, calendula. If you want to get an anti-cellulite soap, then add crushed orange, lemon or grapefruit peel. To cleanse the combination and oily skin, it is good to add oatmeal, ground to flour. If you want soap to have the properties of scrub, then add cocoa powder and finely ground coffee. We also need water or a herbal decoction, to dilute the soap mass.
Soap using natural dyes can be dyed in various colors. To get a green color, you can add cucumber (bright green), spinach, parsley or dill (light green color). If you add henna, you can get a color, from olive to saturated gray-green. Adding the essential oil of chamomile, turns the color from blue to blue. The calendula petals, saffron and chamomile flowers will give our soap a different yellow shade. To get a red color, you can add beets (from pink to red), crocade (purple, lilac), pink clay (red-brown color). Brown color is obtained if the solution add cocoa powder, cinnamon, crushed coffee beans, coffee grounds, dogrose. Adding carrots, sea buckthorn oil or pumpkin, we get an orange color.
We need utensils, for melting soap on a water bath. Also need molds, for subsequent casting. It can be molds from children's sets, any plastic molds, ice cream containers, etc.
Operating procedure
First you need to grind the soap with your hands: on a grater, or with a knife. To do this, use two pieces of baby soap. Then you need to brew the selected herbs with a glass of boiling water. Our material must be finely ground. We pour separately into the dishes, which can be put on the firecracker with boiling water (to arrange a water bath), glycerin and base oils - about a teaspoonful. Then add a few drops of vitamin E. Then put the oil on the water bath and heat it up. We add a bit of herbal decoction, along with blades of grass and grated soap. Heat, stirring well, until the mass looks like a batter. In this case, if necessary, add a little broth. When the mass becomes uniform, you can add one, two drops of essential oil.
When the soap is completely ready, pour it into the prepared molds. After the soap has solidified, it must be removed from the molds. The soap will be easy to get if the preform is wrapped with food film. Also it will be easier to get it by lowering the mold into hot water. If you used a plastic bottle from under the shampoo, then you need to cut it and get a soap - it turns out very nicely. If you have applied a large mold, then the soap needs to be cut into pieces, and it is possible to cut it as you like (square, diamond, rectangle). Do not use our soap immediately, it must be dried in the air, avoiding direct sunlight. Soap with splashes of herbs looks especially beautiful. Prepare the soap with your own hands, depending on your imagination. You should get an original, natural soap, with different flavors!
