How to make kitchen interior practical: 3 important rules

The best, as you know, is the enemy of the good. In an effort to create a refined interior, we sometimes forget that it should be comfortable for everyday life. When it comes to the kitchen, such enthusiasm can lead to a spoiled mood, unnecessary financial and time waste. How not to get trapped? We study the basics and deal with the tricks of the kitchen design.

Responsible to the choice of flooring. Of course, parquet is beautiful, laminate is nice and relatively economical, and the cork is fresh and creative. But it's important to remember that these materials are rather capricious in exploitation: due to high temperatures and damages they can deform, crack, absorb contaminants and odors. The optimal solution is a combination of a couple of types of coating: for the cooking area it is worth choosing a strong ceramic-granite tile or stone, and for the dining room - wooden or cork panels.

Be careful with glossy facades. Bright surfaces of kitchen sets effectively reflect light, visually expanding the space and - no less spectacularly show traces of splashes, water stains and fingers, as well as droplets of grease, dust and pile. If you do not want to spend hours cleaning furniture from stains, pay attention to the matte panels in the pastel range. They look elegant and - importantly - unpretentious in their care.

Apron is an essential part of the interior of the kitchen: it perfectly protects the surface of the walls from the absorption of aromas and dirt during cooking. If you absolutely want to keep the original finish - give preference to the panel of tempered glass: transparent, but durable and reliable.
