How to store cosmetics?

The usual situation: a huge cosmetic bag, in which besides the cosmetics itself there are countless other applicators and sponges, boxes of shadows and blush on the shelf in the corridor, a harmonious row of bottles in the bathroom. And what is happening on the dressing table in the bedroom - it is better not even to recall this multi-year supply of cosmetic weapons. But after all, cosmetics, like any product, have their own storage rules and their expiration dates. For some reason, few people remember this, although the damage from expired cosmetics can be serious.
Of course, your cosmetics will not become sour and will not get an "unpleasant smell" after the expiry date, but ... it is already impossible to use it. Why - about this in order.

From decorative cosmetics longest are stored eye shadow, powder and blush (they can be used up to three years). Take care that jars and boxes always close tightly, and, of course, try not to drop them: crumbling shadows are very inconvenient to use. However, if the blush or shadows began to crumble, do not throw them away: just in time, the silicone that has stained the dye particles evaporated. Brushes for application should be washed with soap (or shampoo) after each application to remove the residues of fat. Otherwise, the fat from the skin gets into the powder or blush, and it will be impossible to apply them evenly on the face.

Mascara is stored for three months to a year, and then begins to dry. Gradually, the air enters the bottle, it also "spoils" the ink composition. If the ink is withered, it can be resuscitated for a while, if you lower the bottle into warm water.

Tonal cream, whether it is liquid or compact, can serve you no more than a year. Ebonge for application should be washed at least twice a week, otherwise the cream will get too much cutaneous fat, and "tonalnik" will fail even more quickly.

If you use lipstick for more than a year, it begins to lose its qualities. The homogeneous consistency is broken, and the lipstick either begins to spread, lie on the lips unevenly, roll down, or vice versa - just wither. Keep lipstick in a dry place, from high humidity it starts to soften, so if you are used to painting in the bathroom, try not to leave there lipstick.

Creams, masks, gels. On the shelf life of this kind of cosmetics, we worry more often, as we are accustomed to attribute such cosmetics to medical products.

Skin care products are usually stored for up to six months (of course, if left in the "native" package). If the color, odor or consistency of the product has changed, check the expiration dates again, it may be time to replace your cream. In some "overdue" creams, substances that will only harm your skin can be produced.

Eye creams do not contain preservatives, so they retain their useful qualities no longer than three to six months. If the products are packaged in hermetically sealed bottles (for example, lotions with dispensers), then the shelf life may increase to three years.

Means for washing and other foam products contain tensiles that are not allowed to form bacteria, so the foam is stored for a long time, up to two years.

In body oils, baths and showers, bacteria also do not multiply, but only a few drops of water can spoil them. Therefore, be careful when using oil, do not put bottles under the open water. And so that it is not rancid, store it in a dark cool place.

And, perhaps, the main rule of storage of any cosmetics: do not be afraid to throw out! Get rid of old makeup, do not store "for a rainy day," make an audit in your cosmetic bag more often, and then your cosmetics will always please you with its quality.
