Of what to sew a bear costume?

In order to sew a bear's costume, we need blanks. Where can I get them? In our time it is not difficult, because in any store now there is a very huge range of relatively inexpensive fabric, which is perfect for sewing a bear costume. And you can do even easier and make a suit of old things that are sure to be found in your wardrobe. These things, as a rule, lie "idle" and just take up excess space. So why not add them to the case! The basis of the bear costume can easily become a trouser suit or a brown overall. This clothing should be slightly modified, removing unnecessary parts and adding the necessary elements. You just need to include your imagination and implement the image of a good bearded bear.

Bear Costume: necessary details

To sew a bear costume, we should get an old overall and artificial fur of brown or plush.

So, turn a jumpsuit into a bear cub. To this end, we cover the prominent places of the overalls with fur or plush brown and sew a hood to it. Then from the same fur or plush we cut out the ears and fasten them to the hood. On the brown gloves, you can sew applications in the form of footprints of bear cubs. These applications can be made from plain paper. You can supplement such a suit with a usual ready-made mask of a bear. Our costume is ready!

If you did not find a suitable overall or suit, do not get upset, because it can easily be sewn, using patterns of such overalls from any women's magazine.

By the way, instead of a hood, you can sew a real head of bears, which will look great with the suit. In order to sew it, we need brown velvet, we need to make a pattern of the front and back of the head, taking off the necessary dimensions.

Eye bears can be made from conventional buttons. You can use the buttons that have four holes, sewing their cross on the cross.

And the last detail of our costume is the hind legs of a bearded bear. For their tailoring we need fur in the color of the suit and thick fabric for the sole. To cut hind legs is like ordinary shoe covers. We wrap the foot and make two details of the soles from the dense fabric. Do not forget to make allowances for seams. From the most convex point of the heel to the most convex point of the toe, we need to measure the distance along the edge of the sole. We make on the piece of paper a drawing of this length. As a result, we get a line joining the side and the sole.

We draw a perpendicular from the most convex point of the heel and mark the height by the point through which the line is drawn, which is parallel to the connection of the lateral part and the sole. In this place, we measure the lower leg. Divide the result by 2 and add 5 centimeters and allowances to the seams. From the end of the perpendicular we postpone the resulting size. We connect the end point with the most convex point of the sock. Now we have a pattern of half the side.

Cut out a pattern and on the wrong side, circle it with fur, adding 2 centimeters to the upper allowance and 1.5 centimeters to the seams. We must have four such details. We paired the details so that they were in contact with each other with fur. We sweep the back and front seams. On the wrong side we should drive away the upper allowance, and then sew up the paws. We turn the workpiece inside out and connect it with the sole.

Stitch seams and we put elastic band! Paws to suit the bears are ready!
