How to use a professional hair dye

Professional hair colors have their own characteristics. So, for example, a developer's kit and a tube of paint are included in the standard paint package. When used, the contents of both vials are mixed, after which the dye can be applied to the hair. In the kit of professional paint includes several flacons, which is why women have questions about how to use a professional hair dye.

It should be noted that before painting the hair with professional paint, it is better not to wash them. The dye should be applied to dry, not freshly washed hair. This is due, first of all, to less traumatism of the hair and scalp from the paint, since the sebum performs a protective function. In addition, such hair is more susceptible to the dye. On clean, freshly washed, damp hair, only easily washable balms and coloring agents such as gels or foams apply.

Application of professional hair dye

First, it is necessary to reliably protect clothing and scalp. For this purpose, at the edge of the growth of the hair, the skin is lubricated with a protective cream. This will protect it from staining and irritation. If the dye accidentally gets on the face when dyeing hair, wash it off quickly with soap and water. In case you do not wash it off immediately, a bright spot will appear on your skin.

When preparing a mixture consisting of several dyes, it is necessary to thoroughly mix the components until a homogeneous mass is obtained. It is recommended to prepare the mixture immediately before its use, as it is rapidly oxidized.

Do not be afraid to foam the paint. This helps to enrich the mixture with oxygen, then the dye will be absorbed more easily and evenly.

Before applying the paint, divide the hair into four sectors with two perpendicular lines, make the cuts through the center of the head. First, apply the paint on the parting, then go to the nape of the neck and then close to the forehead. This is due to the fact that the temperature of the occiput is less than on the vertex and the process of staining there is slower.

When lightening the hair, you can retreat from the rule and apply the dye from the area of the head where more lightening is needed. However, the edge of the hair at the temples and forehead should be treated last, because it is very thin hair that is very susceptible to paint. If this is neglected, then when lightening the roots of the hair in the face will be too light, and when painted in dark colors, on the contrary, too dark.

In the case of gray hair, the dye needs to be applied first to places with a large percentage of gray hair. The percentage of gray hair is calculated relative to the total weight of the hair.

Intense red dye tones are first applied to the ends of the hair and the hair along the entire length, not reaching the roots by 2 cm. To prevent the paint from reaching the roots, cotton wool can be placed under the strands. And only then the dye is applied to the roots of the hair. Sometimes for roots it is recommended to use an oxidizer weaker by one step. The same principle is used if it is necessary to achieve the effect of dark roots on a lighter total mass of hair.

When painting overgrown roots, the dye is first applied to the roots. Then, to equalize the color along the entire length of the hair about 5-10 minutes before the end of color development.

Holding time

Exposure time must be strictly observed. The dye should be on the hair for as long as instructed. Time correctly counted from the moment when all the paint was applied to the hair. If the dye is washed away prematurely, the effect may be unexpected and vice versa, if the dye is overstrained, the hair will become brittle and sensitive.

Washing of dye

When the desired color is reached, emulsification is carried out. To do this, a small amount of warm water is applied to the hair, a little foams and evenly distributed along the length of the hair massaging movements, not forgetting the marginal line of hair growth. This process makes it easy to give hair shine and wash off the dye from the scalp.

Then, the hair is thoroughly washed with warm water, a special shampoo, treated with a neutralizing balm to remove the dye residues. This is important, as they can provoke a gradual process of oxidation after using hair dye, discoloration and clarification.
