Ideal Head

We can safely say that most office workers are more or less dissatisfied with their boss. In the smoking rooms discuss evil, quick-tempered, secretive and unprofessional bosses who spoil blood, nerves and career for the whole team.

Is it so? Perhaps subordinates do not appreciate the efforts of their leader. Maybe one of them will become a tyrant after the promotion. On the other hand, some managers cope with a difficult task and deserve respect from their own team.

What is needed for this? What is he, the perfect boss?

1. He asks for your opinion.

A rare subordinate yearns to be a silent puppet in the hands of the lord exposed by the power. Even a wise and just order is perceived worse than a stupid decision, in the acceptance of which the entire collective participated. Naturally, each employee is ready to rush to the goal, which he chose including himself. The ideal boss knows this and attracts subordinates to make important decisions. Of course, he does not resort to democratic voting and does not wait until everyone becomes satisfied. Sometimes it's enough just to listen and let know that the positions of all employees are important for the company.

2. He shares information.

People are afraid of the unknown. This fear paralyzes them and prevents them from working in full force. The wise leader understands that to hide from the employees the future reduction of staff or the problem of the company in the market is meaningless. The atmosphere created by the ideal boss is impregnated with trust and is as transparent as possible. This situation provokes employees to full frankness on their part - in the end, the reluctance to hide problems and ideas from each other leads to the success of the whole company.

3. He cares about your career.

A wonderful boss is somewhat like a parent, for whom the future of the child is often more important than his own. Such a manager does not give instructions, the implementation of which will cast a shadow on the career prospects of the employee. He discusses with his subordinates their strengths and weaknesses, gives advice on what should be paid attention to reach heights in the company or even outside it.

4. He judges by the result.

The ideal boss does not become a petty dictator, who watches the number of cups drunk to his subordinates. He does not even need to come to work at a specific time and does not collect reports on intermediate stages of project execution on his desk. A great boss comes much easier - he estimates the final result. Of course, such a manager is ready to consult an employee facing difficulties and help him get out of a difficult situation. But he prefers not to interfere first.

5. He fairly rewards.

The subordinates of such a leader are not asked the question "Why did they give me so much, and the neighbor in the office more?". Each employee understands the principles by which bonuses are assigned. In the company of a great leader, do not reward for a good relationship with the manager or a beautiful smile. They appreciate the ability to achieve results and develop.

May an excellent boss be with you!
