A peasant salad is perfect for a casual table, because it is prepared from ingredients that are always at hand. Preparation: Wash the potatoes and carrots, put into a saucepan, add water and boil until cooked. Let the vegetables cool down a bit, peel them off and cut into small cubes along with pickled cucumbers. Grind the onion. Put all the ingredients in a deep dish or salad bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste, season salad with vegetable oil. Stir well and serve to the table.
