Rules of nutrition during pregnancy

Every woman who finds out that soon she will have a baby, and who is waiting for his birth, very much wants him to be born healthy. And very many know that during pregnancy you need to eat, observing certain rules - this is important for the health of the future baby, and for the health of the mother herself. "You are what you eat," says the old adage, and it's hard not to agree with this. So, what are the rules of nutrition should be adhered to by pregnant women?



First, you can not overeat. Even when the girlfriend or mother reminds you that now you need to eat as much as you need to feed yourself and the baby, remember that you have to eat as much as you want.

Secondly, the most important rule of nutrition for a pregnant woman is the regime. The regime you will have to observe in everything, food is no exception. It is better to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at intervals of about 4-5 hours at the same time. In addition, it is better not to have breakfast immediately after you wake up, and dinner should be three hours before bedtime. And then, starting with the second trimester of pregnancy, it is better to gradually increase the number of meals a day (while reducing portions) - the growing uterus begins to squeeze the internal organs, including the stomach.

If there is no appetite, then do not torture yourself. After all, it is the appetite of the body that tells you that it is ready to digest food.

The fluids of a pregnant woman need two to two and a half liters per day. At the same time, loose tea is allowed, and even, contrary to popular belief, one small cup of loose coffee a day. But alcohol during pregnancy is not possible at all - even a weak one. This is a strict food rule, which is not discussed by anyone.

Not at all useful preservatives and colorants. Even on the adult body they affect negatively, and the effect of some of them on the fetus is not fully understood. No wonder many of them, which are part of the products in our country, are banned in Europe. In addition, almost all products containing "chemistry" can be replaced by natural, not less tasty. Now, instead of buying a bottle of a drink with a questionable composition, it's best to choose juice or fresh fruit.

Brew compotes, fruit drinks, eat plenty of fresh vegetables. So, one more rule of a food which it is necessary to adhere to pregnant women - only natural products.

Do not get carried away and salty, sweet and fried. Excess of sweet can provoke a child's diabetes, and too much salt will cause swelling.

And the last rule concerning nutrition, which should be adhered to by pregnant women, is the need to choose the food that is characteristic of your region. In most areas of Russia do not grow citrus - and therefore, while it is better not to eat. Apples are in no way worse. In addition, it is not necessary to completely abandon oranges, especially if you love them very much. Just have to observe the measure, and remember that it's better to eat something that is typical for your region, rather than an exotic fruit.

As for vitamin C - in the hope of getting more of it, future mothers sometimes try to eat whole kilograms of oranges or lemons - it is contained in not less quantities in the quite traditional in our country sauerkraut (it is also called "northern lemon"), and even in cranberries and even fresh nettles (which, of course, it is necessary to collect in ecologically clean places, and not in the city park and not near the highway).

Observing such simple rules of nutrition during pregnancy, you can be sure that you will not cause any harm to the baby, and also reduce the possibility, often warned by doctors - to gain excess weight during pregnancy.
