Secondary infertility in women

Physicians share two main types of female infertility - primary and secondary. The first type is the lack of the opportunity to become pregnant throughout a lifetime. Secondary infertility - this is the lost ability to conceive a child due to a previous abortion, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or unsuccessful first birth.

With age, women have fertility, that is, the ability to become pregnant rapidly falls. By the age of thirty five, 25% of all women are physiologically infertile. From 18 to 30 years - the natural age, when conception is most optimal. Postponing for various reasons the birth of a child, the woman exposes herself to the danger of remaining altogether without children or being able to give birth to a child only through complex medical procedures performed to treat prolonged secondary infertility. With the years in the female ovaries chromosomal changes occur leading to diseases, to complete infertility and increase the likelihood of the birth of a physically and mentally defective child. An unintended miscarriage is significantly increased to 35 years.

Hypofunction of the thyroid gland

Increased thyroid hormone production suppresses the production of hormones necessary for the conception of the pituitary gland. It is this part of the brain that affects the qualitative production of hormones in the sexual sphere of women. If hormones are produced less than the prescribed (or more), then inevitably violated the usual menstrual cycle. There is a high risk of a dangerous condition - endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and uterine myoma. The onset of pregnancy and the bearing of a full-fledged healthy fetus will then be greatly hampered.

Normalization of thyroid functions makes it possible to easily become pregnant and subsequently give birth to an absolutely healthy child. But some medications during pregnancy will have to be agreed with the doctor.

Gynecological diseases

In a woman, a prolonged inability to conceive is often caused by the following dangerous diseases:

Complications after unsuccessful abortions

Scraping during an abortion can severely damage the upper layer of the endometrium. Thus follicles can normally ripen, but in a uterus they are not attached. This case is classified as complex. Unqualified ("underground") abortions and unsuccessfully conducted abortions in clinics give rise to a lot of complications. The percentage of risk remains even with the work of experienced, many years of practicing doctors. As a result, a woman faces a subsequent inability to become pregnant.

Injuries to genital organs

Various perineal injuries, ongoing postoperative complications, untreated scars, adhesions or polyps are all one of the causes of infertility. However, these reasons are usually safely resolved. The course of treatment allows a woman to easily become a mother of healthy children.

Improper diet

The modern enemy of pregnancy is diet and anorexia. Infertility can also lead to: body exhausting diseases, chronic intoxication and simply irregular, inadequate nutrition.

Biological incompatibility

This diagnosis is made for couples who do not have children after a year or more living together - in only 20% of cases. However, there are no medical reasons for non-occurrence of pregnancy, doctors are simply powerless to help something. This is the case when, it happens, pregnancy does not occur for years, and then a miracle happens and a healthy baby is born.

Treatment of endocrine infertility includes the normalization of adrenal and thyroid functions with the use of drugs that stimulate ovulation. Injections of the chorionic gonadotropin also help. In addition, various surgical techniques lead to good results - wedge resection or ovarian cautery. With the presence of secondary female infertility, genital endometriosis, pathological adhesive process in the pelvic region, tubal factors, polyps and other pathologies of the uterus can also be associated.
