Tempering children at home

Tempering children is one of the few ancient rituals that has come down to our days, practically without any transformation. To fulfill it, just like in ancient times, only nature is needed. What else besides pure fresh air, bright sun and water can be the best way to maintain strength and health in a young body that is just being formed.

It is proved that the human way of life affects 70% of his health. Therefore, hardening is one of the most suitable options for those who want to preserve their health and children's health. This is not just an ancient tradition. Hardening will help to avoid diseases, maintain an excellent physical form, increase immunity.

What gives us hardening? Mainly, it helps to improve and stabilize blood circulation, regardless of climatic conditions, which, in turn, will help prevent colds. After all, the cold virus penetrates the body when it is in an unprotected state, for example, when passing from heat to cold. At this point, the person's nasopharyngeal vessels contract and blood circulation is disturbed. Penetrating into the middle of the body, the viruses gradually destroy its unprotected cells. This infection affects the injured surface repeatedly, with even greater force. A hardening - this is a kind of training of the body. It is best to start it from an early age, which, by the way, is the most suitable for this.

There are fundamental principles of hardening, which need to be known and guided by them. In tempering, as in any other endeavor, an important role is played by a positive attitude. At first, to make it easier for children to endure tempering, you need to try to convert this procedure into an interesting game. The mood for a good result is also an important attribute. Hardening should be carried out all year round, without intervals, increasing the dosage over time. You should also select a specific program for yourself and your child, starting from the age, individual characteristics of the organism and the degree of its predisposition to such procedures.

The opinion is wrong that the hardening process consists of watering yourself with cold water and rubbing it with snow. All the actions included in the tempering process, and this is a strict regime of the day, a sufficient number of hours for sleep, proper healthy eating, regular exercise help build a healthy body for you and your children. And, of course, hardening should contain such activities as tempering with air, sun rays and water.

Tempering children at home, namely newborns, should first start with the adoption of air baths. After all, a child of up to a year needs 2.5 times more oxygen than an adult, since his body spends more energy. Therefore, periodically, 4-5 times a day, ventilate the room where the child is. In summer, it is good to keep the ventilator open, but you should not forget about the possibility of a draft. Children are taught to air baths even in the hospital, when they are left naked for a while while swaddling. In the summer, you can take walks with the baby almost immediately after birth, but for a short while - for 20-40 minutes, and in winter it is better to wait a little and go out after 2-3 weeks after birth, and the temperature should not cross the threshold of 5 degrees.

It should be more carefully approached the process of making a child sunbathing. Up to 3 years, it is necessary to prevent the appearance of a child under the open sun, since ultraviolet rays can harm tender baby skin. To avoid the danger of overheating, the temperature during the sunbathing for babies should be approximately 22 ° C, and for children aged 1-3 years - 20 ° C, it is desirable that there was no wind in the street. It is strictly forbidden to temper the child with the sun, if the air temperature exceeds 30 ° С. After sunbathing, they usually go to water procedures.

The most effective and often used method of hardening can be called water procedures. Taking into account the age and characteristics of the child's body, you need to create your own program. For babies water procedures are carried out as follows: the child every day is bathed in water, the temperature of which is about 36-37 ° C, bathing time - not more than 5 minutes. After this, the baby should be poured water with a temperature of less than 2 ° C. To wash the child follows water, the temperature of which is 28 ° С, for every second day reducing it by 2 ° С, but it should not be lowered below 20 - 22 ° С. Over time, the procedure for wiping is introduced. At first it is carried out with the help of wetted cloths, with a temperature of 33-36 ° C. It is necessary to gently wipe the baby's hands from the palm to the shoulder and the leg from the foot to the knee. The process of wiping the child should last no more than 1-2 minutes. The temperature is gradually adjusted to 28 ° C, decreasing it by 1 ° C every five days. Tempering children at home ends with dousing. This procedure begins with the back of the baby, gradually moving to his chest, stomach and hands, while the force of the pressure of water should be sufficient. Wipe the child after dousing should be dry, even a slight reddening of the skin is permissible.

Hardening can be unconventional. This refers to direct contact of the human body with very cold water, snow or air. But in no case can this method be applied to small children.
