The history of the brand Prada

Miuccia Prada is a truly talented designer. It is not for nothing that she was repeatedly awarded the title of designer of the year and the prize of Fashion Designers USA. But before getting such world fame, Miuccia herself went through a huge thorny path, which is told about the very history of the brand Prada, and which, unfortunately, is not written in the history books.

Prada is the world famous fashion house, which produces collections of brand clothes, shoes and accessories. The entire style of the Prada brand can be described in only two words, which most successfully reflect the internal concept of the brand itself - it is impeccable elegance, conciseness and restraint. Prada completely completely overturns all the general notions about such a concept as sexuality. After all, hard lines and materials of rough texture easily turn the outfits of this brand into the image of an "impregnable fortress", which adds to the ladies who wear them, a special piquancy, making it enigmatic and at the same time attractive. Considerable attention to the trading house Prada concentrates on the outer clothing and the external simplicity of the overall design of its models, which is very pleasing to the fair sex. That's why we decided to go deeper into the history of the brand Prada and tell the lovely women of fashion about the roots of their beloved brand.

The history of Prada .

The history of the origin of Prada originates in Milan, in 1913. Great-grandfather Miuccia Prada, Mario Prada, who is also the founder of this brand, opened his own business for the production of shoes, bags of leather and registered his brand. In the same year he opened a small store, where he sold these goods. Applying the soft walrus skin in his bags, Mario was able to attract the attention of very influential buyers from all over the world. So, Italian, and then European and American aristocrats began to wear shoes from the new couturier and take with them on the trip huge leather, travel bags that had handles made of wood, turtle shell decor and crystals with the same inscription Prada. At that time, the brand was called "Brothers Prada", but from 1958 the company's management took up the daughter of Mario Prada - Louise Prada.

1970's history is remembered as the year when Europe and America saw the first collection of clothes under the Prada label. These clothes simply radiated refinement and charm. But as for the bags, the demand for them dropped significantly. First of all, this situation was due to the fact that they were very cumbersome and people began to feel uncomfortable because of this. This was the reason that the company began to face a financial crisis. So, by the middle of the 20th century, the fashion house was not going through the most prosperous times for itself, and by the time when the company was headed by Miuccia Prada in 1970, it was almost on the verge of collapse. But, just Miuccia managed to breathe new life into the company and the family business. So in 1989 the house of clothes again acquires the status of the well-known. In the same year, under the direction of the new director, the newest line of women's footwear and clothes of the pre-da-party class was launched. This collection included calm tones, where black dominated, and its lines were simple and at the same time refined and had no sharp transitions and different slices. After this collection, Prada's house instantly won great sympathy from customers who gladly gave their preference to elegance and sophistication.

In the nineties Prada brand introduced a new youth brand - Mio Mio. Its name was given to the brand from the abbreviation of the name of the director of the company Miuccia. In the early 90s, Prada launched its own line of sunglasses, the appearance of which the fashionable beau monde did not immediately approve. These glasses were characterized by thick square frames of bright colors, and after a couple of years these glasses became an indispensable business card of this brand.

Merger with other companies .

In the early 1990s, the Prada brand acquired the Roman fashion house Fendi, which because of its debts began to bring the company to decline. In this regard, Prada shared Fendi with a French company that was engaged in fashion business. But it still did not help keep the losing house of Fendi fashion afloat and had to be sold to the King of Pop Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson transferred the management of the company to his younger sisters, Janet Jackson, who, in turn, renamed the fashion house Fendi to the fashion house Janet Jackson International. For today, this company produces fashionable clothes, shoes, perfumes, cosmetics, accessories, jewelry and even furniture.

Fashion house Prada today .

Now Prada took up the production of children's collection of clothing, perfumes and cosmetics under the same name for the fashion house logo. In a word, the brand has significantly expanded its production and with a head aimed at high fashion and bohemian style. And all thanks to the indispensable Miuccia Prada. It was this woman who was able to create a new image of the company, and her corporate style, which says that a woman from Prada can possess a very delicate sense of style, is romantic and feminine, prefers minimalism, which very well combines with sexuality. In addition, the brand Prada has its own brand colors - brown, white, black and cream. Also admirers of a fashion house of clothes became such celebrities, as Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, Paris Hilton and the queen of pop Madonna. And this is the deserved success of the great name and great woman of Miuccia Prado!
