The trial period at the new job

The trial period at the new job is an important stage. If you act right from the start, you can not only stay here, but also earn a good reputation. The probationary period at the new job is all to ensure that the authorities are convinced that you are really a specialist in your business. And this day has come - the first working day in a new place. First you have to design in the personnel department of all necessary documents. Then, according to the rules, the boss must introduce you to everyone else. During dating, the main thing is to try to memorize the names of colleagues (at least some, but the bosses are necessary) and smile more. Gather with the spirit, because from this moment behind you and all that you make, will watch a dozen pairs of eyes.

The first thing is work!
To begin with, there are no delays. In the first three months it's better to come to work 10 minutes earlier than 10 minutes later. This should include punctuality in the performance of tasks, replies to e-mails, compliance with the schedule. Clearly clarify your functional duties: better keep them in print with the signature of the boss.

The most difficult in the first days will focus on work, because the novelty will constantly distract you. In the first week or month, write down literally everything that happens to you in order to work out your own schedule: thus, you will notice that, for example, some documents need to be registered on Tuesdays, and on Fridays call customers. Similarly, record the names and positions of people who will have to deal with the work.
In the early days, it may happen that the work will be given to you a little. Just do not rush in this situation to lay out a computer game of solitaire. Try to create at least the appearance of the work, or even better - work on your plan for the near future or sketch a couple of ideas. But more often than not the beginner is literally "overwhelmed" with tasks from all sides. Here it is important not to panic and try to sort out all tasks in terms of importance and timing (so be sure to specify the dates).

Once in a new place , everyone will try to perform their duties well. Just do not start with your excessive zeal to prove to everyone that you are the best employee. Long work with the maximum impact you will not succeed, productivity will sooner or later fall, and let it happen unnoticed for the employer.
Be careful with the expression of new ideas. The most optimal task in this period is to do your job conscientiously and literally absorb all that is happening.

To adjust relations
If you think that you will be able to survive the probation period on a new job with just one "bare" demonstration of professionalism, you are deeply mistaken. Equally important is the check for co-existence in the team.
To deftly "fit" in the given conditions, at first as little as possible stand out, "merge with the environment." This applies to everything from the dress code to the existing traditions of this team.
For example, do not rush your workplace from the first day to furnish with photographs or soft toys. Take a closer look at the tables of other colleagues - suddenly this is not accepted here. Dress stylishly, but not defiantly. If other employees call for lunch in the common kitchen - agree necessarily. Informal relations are very conducive to establishing friendly ties. For the same purpose, you can arrange a small celebration in honor of your arrival, but only if there is such a tradition.

In any collective there is the most sympathetic and contact woman - her and then take yourself as an ally. Questions at first there will be many, so you need a person who will answer them and show where the toilet is at last. Do not be very attached to your guide, until you find out what his reputation is. Over time, you will inevitably join a grouping, but for now keep your neutrality. Some newcomers are worried about the new collective and begin to behave incorrectly: either they become much more isolated, or, trying to appear "their own in the board," are too crammed. It is necessary to find a middle ground in communicating with colleagues - to behave towards everyone in an equal, friendly and benevolent way. Do not crowd your friends with the boss - the team will not forgive you, but a good boss will not appreciate it. Do you know what he will definitely appreciate? Still, your diligence and effectiveness.

For three months, while your probationary period lasts on a new job, you not only try to stay on the spot - you start creating your own reputation. It will be difficult to get rid of it if you pass, the test is not very successful, but if successful, a good reputation will work for you.

It is forbidden : to be late, to delay the fulfillment of tasks; in conversations with employees in the kitchen to dive into the details of his personal life; join coalitions, conspiracies; to refuse to participate in general events; discuss bosses and colleagues; climb with your own charter in a foreign team; use the phone for personal purposes.
Do not think that only you go through a "test of strength" for three months. Simultaneously with you, there are both a new team and your boss. This is a good period for you to decide whether these working conditions are suitable, whether the relationship is healthy in the team, if the salary is not delayed, etc. Be on the alert-some employers hire employees for a trial period and for a minimum wage, and after receiving from the worker the maximum return, in 3 months inform, that "you have not approached". Do not settle for an understated salary during the probationary period - it may be less, but not more than 30%. It happens that the number of duties does not correspond to the salary, so at the end of the period, ask your prospects.

Take a closer look at your colleagues - you were received by the collective or rejected. And if you are not satisfied with the new job, boldly refuse to cooperate!
