Last night, Russian actor Valery Nikolayev was detained by policemen in the center of Moscow. Law enforcement officers had to pursue the artist's car, and it was only possible to detain him with the help of the spiked ribbons on the road.
The reason for the arrest of the actor was information that the day before he had shot down a 54-year-old woman on the crossing near the stop on Chistoprudniy Boulevard. According to eyewitnesses, Nikolaev drove at high speed directly along the tram tracks. After knocking down a pedestrian, the artist did not stop and did not slow down, but disappeared.
The woman who received multiple injuries was hospitalized. She is suspected of a severe concussion of the brain. The whole day the car of the actor was wanted, and only last night the DPS officers managed to detain the offender. According to the police, the famous artist ignored the demands of law enforcement officers, and rammed several cars before he was able to stop.
Valery Nikolayev told reporters who were at the place of detention that he did not know the reason why he was stopped.
