Each mascara is a specialist in its field: one twists, the other imparts volume, the third lengthens. For each effect there is a special component, and each manufacturer in its own way solves this problem.
- In the voluminous carcass, thanks to the microgranules of wax, the creamy texture envelops every cilium. Astringent components ensure the adhesion of the paint, due to which the increase in the volume of eyelashes. Silicone polymers in the composition perform a similar function. In some carcasses, particles of powder are added, which, falling on the eyelashes, increase twofold, giving an additional volume.
- Elongation of eyelashes is guaranteed by nylon and silk fibers or natural polysaccharides. With each brush, these substances are superimposed on the ends of the eyelashes, making them longer and more expressive. Sometimes manufacturers add special polymers in the form of threads - they stick to the eyelash and also visually extend it.
- Mascara with a twisting effect contains keratin and resins, which, when dry, tighten the eyelashes, giving them a curl.
The taste and color
For the color of the carcass the mineral pigments answer. Sometimes, in order to give the product a deeper black shade, so-called Arab resin is added to it - a substance used for eye make-up in ancient Egypt. Black ink is universal, it gives the look expressiveness. Any color will not provide such an effect. Choosing brown, green or blue, paint the eyelashes in this way: the first layer is black, the second is colored, the third is black again (literally touch the tips). Now it is fashionable to have a so-called "cloakroom carcass" - several options that allow you to get different effects. For example, you can first use mascara with a separating and twisting effect, then lengthen the eyelashes with an extension. Or apply on the base of the eyelashes black, and complete the make-up on the tips of the color.
Than to put or render?
When choosing mascara, pay special attention to the brush. To achieve the optimal result, manufacturers always select it for the texture of the carcass and its functions. However, for different eyelashes fit "their" brushes. For short, choose a small ("jewelry") brush. She gently and evenly dye every eyelash, get to the hairs and from above, and from below, leaving no traces on the skin around the eyes. Long and thin fit brush of large size, which will give them volume (for long eyelashes - this is the first need), or a brush that twists and separates - its villi, as if twisted in a spiral. For thin - choose a brush with bristles of different length: short will apply mascara on each cilium, and long - evenly distribute it on the surface. As well as large brushes, they are often called XXL. They allow you to distribute mascara on the eyelashes, maximally coloring each. With light eyelashes, the line of the eye from above can be fuzzy. In this case, look for mascara with a flat plastic brush, with which you need to gently paint the upper ciliary contour (at the roots). For dense suits absolutely any brush.
Right choice
Always purchase mascara only in specialized stores, where cosmetics are stored properly. Packaging should contain information about the type of carcass, its composition, the country of manufacture and the date of manufacture. The remedy always has a specific, but pleasant smell, characteristic only for him, some manufacturers add to the mascara flavorings. Mascara must have a pure color, indicated on the package, when it is opened at the end of the brush, a "tail" of the collected product is formed. The "fresh" carcass, as a rule, the net of the brush is clean. With frequent and strong heating, the product can quickly dry up and deteriorate, and when cooled or freezed - split into its component parts. Avoid sudden temperature changes during storage. For carcass harmful to the air, so always keep it tightly closed. Ink, which has expired, expands its composition and outwardly does not meet the requirements. Do not dilute it with alcohol or oil. The only way to save quickly dried mascara is to add a little distilled or boiled water to it.
All around water
The composition of waterproof carcass includes synthetic substances (water-resistant resins, paraffin and other water-repellent components), creating a film that protects makeup from spreading and shedding in contact with water. The mascara itself does not do much harm to eyelashes, but the remedy for removing waterproof makeup contains dissolving substances that do not spare the skin around the eyes, and getting on the mucous membrane, it irritates it very much. So it's best not to abuse water resistance.
