The Norwegian forest cat (scutchet) is a strong, active animal, often reaching a very impressive size. Such cats are mobile and playful, adore climbing trees and adapt well to new conditions. By nature they are hunters, so they catch mice with pleasure. For this reason, if you have a scooter, you should not start small rodents or birds at home. Nevertheless, these cats have a "wild" disposition - scooters tend to will and space, so do not keep them for long in tight quarters.
It is believed that this peculiar breed of cats was formed under the influence of the severe climate characteristic of the Scandinavian countries. Skugketki have long been domesticated by Norwegians, these nimble and unpretentious cats are perfectly catching mice, because they can often be found on farms in Norway. This breed began to disappear, and-for crossing with European short-haired cats, because from the beginning of the thirties of the twentieth century people began to grow scabets.

For Norwegian forest cats is characterized by the presence of the so-called fur collar, which also noticeably thinens during moult, re-growing only by autumn. The quality of the wool of scaghetti directly depends on the conditions of their life: in cats that live predominantly indoors, the wool is much softer, less often and shorter.
These cats have absolutely amazing ears - fluffy, pointed form, high set on the head with nice tassels on the tips. The head of the scaghetti is triangular, with pronounced cheekbones and large, widely planted eyes. The tail is long, mobile, well pubescent.
