1. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Add the baking powder, sugar, tartar and salt. Mix the whisk to mix all the ingredients together. 2. Add chopped butter. 3. Hand or using a cookie cutter to mix the mixture so that it resembles large crumbs the size of a pea. 4. Lightly beat the egg in a bowl. Add the milk and mix. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mix and mix with a fork until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. 5. Form a ball from the dough and put it on the flour-poured surface. Roll out the dough into a 2 cm thick disc. Do not recommend using a rolling pin for this - so the cookie will peel less. 6. Using a cutter for cookies or molds, cut out the circles and lay the cookies on the baking tray. 7. Bake cookies 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool and serve with jam or butter.
