If in the zone of your reach there was neither one nor the other, take as a basis a couple of ordinary white candles. To cut a solid wax you will need a very sharp knife and metal utensils. In it, you will warm up paraffin or wax, mix it with decorative trifles, which you want to decorate the candle. It can be beads, colored threads, dried flowers, beads - yes anything, anything! The only thing you need from professional utensils is a mold for casting. But you can make it yourself.
To do this, mold out the clay candle from plasticine, as you imagine it. It can be of any shape, both traditional and exotic. Then fill the mold with gypsum and wait for it to fully solidify. After. As the gypsum hardens, cut out the filling and use the shape. You can do even easier - take a glass flat jar, oil it and use it as a mold.
The edges of any shape can be covered with sticky sparkles, then your candle will get even more elegant.
The most simple candles are paraffin waxes. Paraffin should be rubbed on a small grater or chopped with a knife, as the chips are easier to melt. The mass should be heated in a water bath on low heat, stirring. While the paraffin takes a uniform shape in the saucepan, prepare both the shape and the wick. The wick must be prepared in advance. Experienced "candleholder" dipped it in a solution of saltpeter or in molten paraffin and allowed to dry completely.
Fill the paraffin into the mold and allow it to harden completely. After that, with a long spike, make a through hole and insert a wick into it. The paraffin stiffens until 5 o'clock, but if you do not want to wait, you can put a candle in the freezer, then the time of hardening will be reduced to an hour.
Ornaments.
If you are planning to make a color candle, buy food colors or color paraffin as a basis. If the candle is designed to be multi-layered and multicolored, each part will have to be cast separately.
While the paraffin is soft, decorate it with any improvised materials. If you left the candle monochromatic, it will look good sparkles or a single tape.
After the candle has solidified in the form, gently pull it out, pulling the wick. If the form has stuck to a candle, in the most severe cases it is necessary to cut it off with a knife. Be careful not to spoil the surface.
In addition, you can take care and make a candle flavored. To do this, it is enough to drop a few drops of aromatic oil (except pink and incense) into the paraffin or sprinkle dry perfume.
