Children's allergies: how to feed your baby

Irritated dry skin, redness and rash are far from complete list of manifestations of atopic dermatitis. Nutritional diathesis can occur occasionally or worsen after any unusual meal. Parents often try to eliminate the effects of allergies, limiting the children's diet to "safe" dishes. Pediatricians warn - this approach is incorrect.

To exclude from the children's menu proteins of animal origin, fresh fruits and vegetables are not worth it - the body needs to "acquaint" with a variety of products. The first step - the introduction of one new dish in a tiny portion - no more than a few spoons. If there are no disturbing signals, the amount of food can be gradually increased.

Noticing allergic symptoms, you should not stop feeding. The new product should remain in the diet, but the portion size should be slightly reduced - until the diathesis disappears.

If the dermatitis suddenly made itself felt after a few days or even weeks - it is necessary to temporarily exclude the controversial dish from the list of basic. You can return it to the menu in a month or two - during this time the children's body is able to form an adaptation mechanism.
