Christmas tree toys with their own hands: Christmas balls made of paper and thread

Tired of the monotony of purchased Christmas toys? An excellent way out is to make New Year balls with your own hands. There are many materials and execution techniques. We suggest starting with a simple one and making your own hands Christmas balls made of threads and paper.

Christmas balls of thread - step by step instruction

Toys made of threads are actually made easier than it might seem at first glance. Thanks to the use of balloons, they are very gentle and airy. And with a certain skill and experience, you can even make New Year balls of threads with toys inside.

Necessary materials:

Main stages:

  1. To begin with, pour water into the bowl and dilute the PVA glue in the proportions one to one. Stir well until completely dissolved.

On a note! Some sources categorically do not recommend adding water, others advise. Practice has shown that undiluted adhesive is good for thin threads, and thick (hemp, knitting threads) are better impregnated with a liquid solution.
  2. We inflate the ball and tie it tightly. We measure the approximate number of threads - for this we wrap it with a dry thread. Then we immerse this thread in a bowl until it is completely wet.

On a note! Such balls for the New Year from the thread can be made any size, depending on the balloon. If it is not a round shape (for example, in the form of a heart), you can make other interesting New Year's toys on the Christmas tree. For example, cutting a window in a ball, you can put in it the whole composition. Or, preliminarily put a small toy in the ball, which, after the bursting and pulling out of the ball, remains inside the ball of threads.
  3. Gently starting from the tail, we begin to wrap the ball in a thread in all directions tightly, but not experiencing it.

  4. We hide the end of the thread under the coils. Toward the tail tied rope and dried in a suspended form, putting a cloth under it - it will drip. The bowl dries about two days, you can blow it dry, but it's more reliable. While the threads are not dry - they are soft, but in the finished form a rather dense frame is obtained.

  5. Gently punched the ball with a needle and pull it out from the tip of the "ball" through one of the holes. Using a thermo-gun, we glue a loop to the ball from the tape and, if desired, we mask it with a flower.

  6. On the circumference, we glue the lace, and on it - small roses.

  7. Evenly we glue flowers on the bowl, attach them to the middle of the rhinestones.

  8. Similarly, you can make your own hands a fragrant New Year's ball. To do this, you need to glue the frame of threads with coffee beans, cloves and other aromatic spices (anise, cinnamon, cardamom, etc. to your liking).

  9. Then we make a loop and attach a decorative bow from the lace with a thermo-pistol.

Important! After work with hot silicone, there are "tails". They must be removed at the end of the work, in order to give the finished finished product a neat appearance.
  10. The bow is decorated with coffee beans. Such a ball of threads decorates any tree and will not lose its aroma for a long time.

New Year's balls of paper with your hands - step by step instruction

Another way to decorate a forest beauty is Christmas tree balls made of paper, which can also be made at home. Paper balls can be openwork, of geometric figures fastened together, in the technique of 3D origami, and even woven. This master class will tell you how to make a woven Christmas ball of paper.

Necessary materials:

Main stages:

  1. First you need to print a template on the printer, through which we will cut out the details - strips and circles.

  2. Figured stripes with corners are glued to a circle in the form of rays (there should be 10 pieces). We put the "sun" of different colors one on another (mirror!) And begin to twist the strips between each other.

  3. We continue to weave, forming the rounded shape of the future ball. To fix, you can use clothes pegs.

  4. The ends of the bands are collected and fastened with the help of a third circle. We wait until everything is dry, so that the weaving does not bloom.

  5. We glue a satin cord (or tape) of the required length to one of the "poles" of our ball.
