Italian dessert - classic tiramisu Initially, this Italian dessert was called the ducal soup, since it was first cooked by the famous confectioners of the city of Siena at the end of the seventeenth century in honor of the Grand Duke of Medici. The duke was very fond of sweet, so the confectioners tried and prepared for him on a special recipe an unusual new dish. Later this recipe fell into Florence and Venice, where it got its real name and was very popular among the courtiers. The fact is that they considered this delicacy a stimulant, because it contains chocolate and coffee, so they always ate it on the eve of a love meeting. Even the name of this dessert in the translation of the Italian language sounds like "lift me up". Until now, tiramisu remains one of the most famous dishes of Italian cuisine. In the recipe of classic tiramisu necessarily include soft mascarpone cheese and porous, air savoyardi cookies. However, a variety of options for tiramisu appeared a lot. Among them there are recipes with the addition of alcoholic beverages, various berries and fruits. Tiramisu can be prepared in separate portions or in the form of a large cake. A mascarpone and savoyardi, if desired, can be replaced with a delicate fat cottage cheese and biscuit biscuits.
